I am sure this resonates with a lot of you, but when I think back to the beginning of this year, it seems like only a few months have gone by, not an entire year! This morning, I wanted to share this beautiful session at Seven Magic Mountains with a lovely family of 3. It was an early sunrise shoot—cool, quiet and serene. It was clear that this sweet family put a lot of thought into coordinating their outfit colors for their session, which I always appreciate (outfits make a WORLD of a difference for light & airy portraits)! The session itself was fun, light-hearted, and peaceful, full of lovely family candids peppered with plenty of joyful smiles and warm embraces despite the chilly morning air. Sessions like these remind me of why I chose to build my photography business back in 2019. This session reminds me of all the beautiful individuals, couples, and families at beautiful locations I had the opportunity of photographing since starting my photography business back up in Las Vegas in February of 2022. I had no idea what to expect when relocating my business here, all the way across the country. Honestly, I was a little worried... scared even. Especially as a new mom struggling through my first year with a tiny baby. I've learned so much (both soft and hard lessons) and grown a lot as a photographer, business-owner, artist, wife, mother, and friend from this year alone. As some of you may have noticed, my business has re-emerged at the end of this year as Blossom & Sage. I feel completely aligned with and inspired by this new direction, and I look forward to sharing more about it as it unfolds over the coming year. I am grateful for all that 2022 has taught me and am looking forward to all of the learning and growth that 2023 has in store for me, my family, and my life's work. What are some of your biggest lessons from 2022? And what are some things you are looking forward to learning more about and/or growing in 2023? I would absolutely love to hear about them and help cheer you on! ❤️
