They need to feel safe being seen.

Because it’s not about the camera.
It’s not about knowing how to pose.

It’s about the voice in your head that says
“not right now”
“maybe when I look better”
“maybe when life slows down”

And it never does.

So you stay behind the camera.
You crop yourself out.
You wait.

This isn’t about fixing how you look.

This is about showing you
that you were never the problem.

I don’t think we realized it at the time.

How free we were.
17. 18.

Laughing for no reason.
Staying out too late.
No kids waiting at home.
No bills running through our heads.

Just… us.

We took those moments for granted.
Because we thought there would always be more of them.

And now?

Life is fuller.
Beautiful, but heavier.
Different.

And it makes me realize how important it is to still create moments like this.

To laugh like that again.
To be carefree again.
To have photos that don’t just show what you looked like…
but remind you who you were.

Best friend sessions matter more than we think.

Honestly… I think I need one too.

I had to text her after this session. Rori Foster

I told her there was a joy about her that was absolutely beautiful…
and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

I’ve been blessed enough to capture Rori’s joy before.
Years ago, in her senior photos that same light was there.

But this time… it’s different.

This is the kind of joy that comes from stepping into a new season.
From being deeply loved.
From knowing who you are and who you’re building a life with.

It’s the kind of joy you don’t have to force.
It just shows up.

And while that joy is hers…
you can see how he meets her in it.
How he adds to it.
How he holds it.

And that’s what I get to capture.

Not just what it looks like
but what it feels like to be in this season of your life.

From senior photos… to this… to a wedding day.
I’m grateful to capture these moments that matter most.

Tell me everything doesn't absolutely change the moment you become a mother.

Before the baby, we are one version of ourselves

And somewhere in between the sleepless nights and tiny fingers wrapped around ours…
A new version of us is born.

That’s what I love about photographing new parents.

Motherhood isn’t just a season of life.
It’s a transformation.

And years from now, when that baby girl is grown, these photographs will remind her:

“That’s my parents.
That’s two who held my whole world together.”

I choose lifestyle newborn for a reason. It's the real moments you can look back and remember

She specializes in helping physicians relocate and transition their practices. Not just “people moving.”

What I notice within the first five minutes of photographing a woman is this…

Most women walk in a little unsure.
Shoulders slightly tense.
Worried about the unrealistic expectations they have placed on themselves
Wondering if they’re doing it right.

But something shifts as time passes
I start to see the real her show up.
The confidence.
The softness.
The strength she doesn’t always see herself.

And that’s the moment I wait for.
Because that version of her has been there the whole time.
