🍂 FALL FAMILY SESSION STYLE GUIDE 🍂

“What should we wear?” is probably the #1 question I get before family sessions, so I put together a few tips + some ready to shop Amazon outfit inspiration to make planning a little easier!

For fall photos, think coordinated, not matching. Choose a color palette and mix different shades, textures and subtle patterns throughout the family.

✨ Start with Mom’s outfit and build everyone else around it.
✨ Think cream, camel, rust, olive, burgundy, chocolate brown, denim + other warm, muted tones.
✨ Knits, linen, corduroy, denim and flowy fabrics photograph beautifully.
✨ Avoid neon colors, large logos + having everyone in the exact same color.
✨ Don’t be afraid to mix textures and add a subtle pattern!

Would you believe this sweet baby was almost 3 months old for her newborn session? 🤍

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, "We missed the newborn stage."

The truth is... you really don't have to.

While those sleepy, curled up poses are easiest during the first couple of weeks, beautiful newborn portraits can absolutely still happen later. Every baby is different, and this little one was the sweetest reminder that it's never too late to capture this chapter.

So if life got busy, you had a NICU stay, or you simply weren't ready those first few weeks, don't count yourself out. I'd still love to help you preserve these memories before they're gone.
