 if anyone thinks about getting progressive, please don’t!!! they just canceled my policy effective 725 2026 because I had my car towed to a shop after my tire locked up.
Adding what actually happened was everything!
in today’s episode of you can’t make this stuff up lol so i called progressive’s underwriting department this morning to ask a simple question, since i’ve only used roadside assistance one time since signing up, could they just remove the roadside coverage and keep my policy active? the lady says, well… it’s not just that. you never made your june payment. excuse me… what? 🤨 i told her i absolutely did make it and even offered to give her the transaction id from my bank. she cut me off and said she didn’t need it because she could see “clear as day” on her screen that i never paid. then she got rude, so i hung up. i called my bank, and the representative looked everything over. he said, “that payment posted successfully.” then he suggested it plot twist it was for me to call progressive back and keep him on the line. challenge accepted baby so i called back with my bank on the phone. after i explained everything, the bank representative politely asked if it was okay with me for him to discuss my account while progressive was on the line, and of course i told him yes. the progressive representative then confidently tells us both i i never made the payment. he came on the line saying i did with the day i initiated the payment and the date it posted from my account…. yall ready for this??? lol she actually asked him, “are we even looking at the same screen?”the poor man paused for a second like his brain had to reboot and said, “well… probably not. i’m looking directly at her account history and the payment was never returned or rejected it was paid on the 6th and posted on the 8th.” her response? well, you’re wrong and then my favorite part was when she said even if he wasn’t wrong, it wouldn’t matter anyway because i had used my roadside assistance too much. too much. y’all… one single tow. apparently in progressive land, one tow equals me abusing the system!!
i’m being treated like i have a frequent flyer card for tow truck calls lol 😂  and not to mention that in total i have had a 13 year history with progressive 😂🫣
