100 years young.

This is David Palmer.

A World War II veteran. A man with stories in his eyes, history in his hands, and a presence you don’t forget.

I had the honor of photographing David in his home — not in a studio, not under perfect conditions, but right where his life still exists. On the couch. With Cooper by his side. Surrounded by memory.

These are the kinds of portraits that remind me why I’m creating THE JOURNEY 1–100.

It’s not just about taking a good picture.

It’s about preserving people while they’re still here.
Their face.
Their hands.
Their humor.
Their service.
Their story.

David is 100 years old.

And for a few hours, I got to sit with a man who has lived through a century — and try to honor even a small piece of that with my camera.

That means something to me.

I knew Patrick’s favorite actress was Grace Kelly.

So when I couldn’t quite get that real Patrick smile yet… I brought her into the conversation.

And boom.

There he was.

That’s the part I love most about portrait work.

It’s not just the camera.
It’s not just the lighting.
It’s knowing the person enough to find the little doorway that brings them out.

That smile is Patrick. 99!

And that’s exactly why I’m creating THE JOURNEY 1–100.

Portraits of a Human Lifetime.

This is why I’m creating the book.

Lillian holding a younger version of herself.
A lifetime in her hands.
A love story that didn’t disappear — it kept going.

These are the portraits I care about most.

Not just faces.
Not just photographs.

Evidence that someone was here.
That they loved.
That they mattered.
That their story deserves to be held onto.

THE JOURNEY 1–100 is becoming something real.
And Lillian is part of it.

Lately I’ve been really inspired by the idea of Equestrian Portraits.

Not cheesy.
Not overly posed.
Not just “pictures with a horse.”

I’m talking about powerful, feminine, cinematic portraits with elegance, emotion, movement, and that raw beauty horses naturally bring.

Something timeless.
Something strong.
Something a little wild.

If you own a horse, ride, or know someone who does, and this sounds like your kind of shoot, message me. ✅

I’d love to create something unforgettable.

Time doesn’t move the same for everyone.

Patrick is 99 years old!

A World War II veteran!

In his hands… a photograph of him and his brother—young, in uniform… at the beginning of it all.

And now… nearly a century later…he’s still here.

Still smiling.
Still carrying it all with him.

This is more than a portrait.
This is a lifetime.

Grateful I got to witness this.

Animals are born knowing exactly what they are.
A wolf never forgets it’s a wolf. A bird never forgets it’s a bird.

Humans are different.

Somewhere along the way we start performing who we think we should be — for society, for approval, for acceptance.

When I photograph someone, my goal isn’t to direct a performance.

My job is simply to hold up a mirror long enough for them to recognize themselves.

A reflection, not a performance.

The blade isn’t the threat.

It’s the control behind it.

Real power is disciplined.
Measured.
Intentional.

This wasn’t about danger.
It was about dominance over self.

She didn’t pose.
She arrived.
