Sometimes I have to stop and really sit with the reality of my own life.

There are these little moments where it hits me… I built an entire business from the ground up. From nothing but an idea, determination, a lot of late nights, and a whole lot of “I’m just going to figure it out,” I’ve created something that not only supports me and my babies, but continues to grow.

And when I really think about that, I can’t help but feel proud.

Then there’s my house. My house. A whole home that I bought on my own. One year later and there are still days I walk through the door and it doesn’t feel real still. Like I have to remind myself, “Yes, this is mine. I did this.”

And maybe one of my favorite parts is being able to say, with a little smile every single time, “I bought the Mockingbird.” Because there is no bridge, mountain, or ocean I wouldn’t cross for my kids.

It’s the kind of thing that reminds me that even in the hardest seasons, I am capable of building. Of creating. Of figuring it out. Of thriving. And I’ll work myself thin to make sure they never go without.

And honestly, I think sometimes we get so caught up in what still needs to be done that we forget to look around and realize how far we’ve already come.

This part!! PLEASE be courteous to me and my household because I always am to yall! The last thing this momma wants is to deal with a household of 5 kids all sick when it can easily be avoided! I promise, I am super accommodating with reschedules! It is life and I fully understand it.

I’m seriously in a puddle this morning over this 🥹🤍

There are some moments in this business that remind me exactly why I picked up a camera in the first place… and this is one of them.

Getting a handwritten note from a client is already incredibly special, but reading these words? I don’t even have the words.

From diapers for photos to capturing their wedding day… there is something so incredibly full circle about being invited into someone’s life again and again. To watch families grow, to document the big milestones and the tiny in between moments, and to eventually be trusted with one of the most important days of their lives… that is something I will never, ever take for granted.

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for growing with me. Thank you for letting me be the one behind the camera for your memories, and the bushes 🤪💍

And thank you for reminding me that what I do is so much more than taking pretty pictures. I get to preserve pieces of people’s lives that they’ll be able to hold onto forever.

As I wrap up another wedding this morning, my heart is seriously so full. I’ll never get over this life I created completely on my own and built it into what it is now!
