What a touching shout out. Some of you may know that I volunteer at Friends For Life, the only no-kill shelter in Houston. It feels good to know that my photos can help these animals in getting adopted. If you're looking for a new pet, please don't buy. Save a life and adopt.

We give a huge thank you and the November Volunteer Shout Out to Roy Krisanto!

Great photos are crucial to getting animals into good homes. Whether posting adoptables to Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet or the FFL website, having excellent photography is invaluable.

Luckily for us, we have Roy on our volunteer team. Although busy with a full-time job and his own company Roy Image Photography, he still manages to capture Friends For Life’s key moments through countless volunteer hours.

Roy donates his photography skills free of charge to take “glamour shots” for each dog in our program. With just the right setting and angle, Roy finds the perfect way to portray our deserving animals to potential adopters.

In addition, Roy attends every major Friends For Life fundraising event to obtain social photos for the press. These photos have appeared in such reputable outlets as CultureMap, PaperCity Magazine, 002houston Magazine, and Houstonia Magazine. With high standards for photography, these media outlets give Friends For Life a platform to introduce our organization and mission to thousands of readers across Houston.
