These three little birds, sitting atop a sign, remind me constantly that life is so divine. Listening to their song, so carefree in their tunes. Blessed by their vibrations, I find myself consumed. I raise my camera to snap a photo, but unfortunately not quick enough, for the one on the end has decided to call my bluff. Away he goes, to whistle for another. Why can we not consider these creatures our sisters and our brothers? Beauty surrounds us and shows us what we bring, as Bob gently put it, we mustn't worry about a thing.

Today's design reminder: one of the easiest ways to create a cohesive space is by paying attention to tone rather than theme.

A warm wood frame paired with warm wood floors, or artwork with cooler tones in a room that already leans cool, can instantly make a space feel more intentional.

Nothing has to match perfectly. Wood grains don't need to be identical, and neither do the colors throughout your room. Simply deciding whether your space feels predominantly warm or cool is a great place to start.

And don't be afraid to mix in the opposite tone here and there. A little contrast often adds the interest that makes a room feel complete.

On a frosty day in January out on the snowmobiles with my grandpa and my partner speeding down the freshly groomed byways and forest roads through the snow and trees, we came upon a river and a campsite where we had a snack and relaxed for a bit enjoying the scenery and I snapped a few shots that included this powerful image of a bare tree standing tall above the rest as if to say, "Here I stand. A limb above the rest."
