Standing proudly on Galveston's seawall since 1911, the iconic Hotel Galvez is more than just a hotel—it's a piece of Texas history. From its grand architecture to its stories of the island's past, this landmark continues to be one of the most recognizable and photographed destinations on the Gulf Coast. Galveston never runs short on history, and the Hotel Galvez is proof of that.

I had the opportunity to capture this incredible sunset image of the Galvez in between shoots, and Mother Nature certainly showed off. The colors over the island were every bit as spectacular as the hotel itself.
