If you love history, architecture, harbors, boats & birds, you’ll love this photo tour! Galveston has a wonderful and colorful history that in many ways has been preserved in the architecture of the stately and ornate buildings throughout the area. This area has more unique places to photograph than just about any other on the Island! And we’ll show you our secret locations, the back alleys and corners that most people have no idea exist! On this tour, we will be walking through downtown Galveston photographing old metal doors, brick alley ways and unique architecture. And then we’ll walk a few blocks down to the harbor to photograph the “Mosquito Fleet” our affectionate name for our shrimp boat fleet and the various sea birds that live there. You’ll get detailed instruction on how to choose the best angle to compose for the best shot. We’ll help you with any questions you have about your camera too! Currently we are offering Galveston Photo Walks on Thursday, Friday, Saturday. We have two Galveston Photo Walks scheduled at 9:AM-10:30 AM and 3:00 PM -4:30 PM on Thursdays and Fridays and one on Saturday starting at 9:00AM-10:30AM. This tour begins and ends at a local coffee shop that has drinks, snacks and a rest room. What you should bring:
Any type of camera- a DSLR, a point and shoot, even your SMART PHONE CAMERA! Please keep in mind that we’ll be walking the entire time so wear comfortable shoes. We’ll be walking on uneven surfaces (ally ways, docks, etc). There are no stairs during this walk. Other items may include: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water, possibly mosquito spray, cash for drinks etc. This tour is only $79 per person and is one and a half hours long.
