As I am trying to distract myself away from current events, I am going through old photos which provide me peace, wonderful memories and yeah ... I'll say it again. PEACE. Taken in Rockport, TX. Amazing sunset color and tranquility. Enjoy what you love, and hold that and share your passion of what you find most beautiful.

Still going through old photos as I've been discovering photos I never published or edited. Another from Yosemite, December 2014. Yosemite is one of my most favorite places on the planet.

I call this one "Survival"

You may not notice on first glance ... but the tree to the left of the picture is actually rooted and growing from the rock.

At first I thought ... surely not and I climbed up there to look behind and sure enough, the roots were going through the crevices and cracks of the rock. And part of the exposed roots reaching the earth behind it.

This tree was still very much living and come Spring I'm sure it was filled with beautiful green leaves.

This truly demonstrates why I have this great passion of nature. It never disappoints.

I can walk in the woods and stare at trees, rocks, lakes and pretty much anything nature related for hours. Areas such as these are my Happy Place.

I had a great teacher not just in photography but in life ... My Dad, my first photography teacher. But my passion for nature started way earlier than ever having a camera in my hand. As a very young child. I remember from my youth him saying ....

"It's important to enjoy and love nature ... but what is more important ... is to respect it."

What all of us humans could learn from trees. They are the perfect example of overcoming challenges.

Have a beautiful peaceful evening my friends ... tomorrow ... be more like a tree. Hugs and Love to you ALL.

Still going over some old photos shot from years past. This taken in Yosemite December of 2014. I call it Winter Bliss.

Driving up the mountain on very curved roads I found a place to stop as I was fascinated by the fog that day.

The snow was brilliant bright and fresh.

My friends here in Texas ... I know you don't like cold and snow ... but the views of nature with snow are a magnificent experience. LOL, don't let cold scare you because the beauty is truly amazing.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend dear friends.

Hold on to all you love ... whether it be people or your passion of what fills your heart. Take a walk and look at the sky, the trees, mountains, the beach or a lake ... and enjoy nature. It's wonderfully healing.

Another photo from some many years ago. Taken in December 2014. Called Canyon Fog. When I published some photos some years ago ... Many said ... oh how unfortunate it was so cloudy. I see it differently. I felt fortunate. Feel it show Mother Nature and her moods. After all we all have those don't we? Enjoy and have a peaceful night. Enjoy this beautiful planet.

Taken about 1.5 years ago in Yellowstone. Elk enjoying a day by the water and enjoying the stunning environment they live. How I wish I could go visit a beautiful spot right now. Nature gives me peace. I hope this picture provides you with hope of what we can once again enjoy. Hugs, Love and Peace to you all.

Some think dark skies are depressing. I disagree. I've shot this dock on days with great sunshine and I've shot it with storms. I love both ... but some days the dark skies give me thoughts of wonder and deep thought. Dark clouds are truly beautiful if you allow them to be one of mystery.

Although I shot this back in 2015, it remains one of my favorite shots.

This was taken at beach called Jeykll Island in Georgia, not far from Savannah. I was in Hilton Head, SC visiting family a few months after my Dad passed.

What is quite astounding about this picture ... Which I call ... "Still Standing", is that this tree is on what they call the "dirty side" ... by noon every day, the entire beach is gone after high tide.

So ... if I were to have gone back the next day ... this tree would have been washed away and out in the ocean. If you look closely, the roots of the tree are simply standing on top of the sand. I found it to be fascinating ... especially because of its size.

You'll understand when you compare to the man fishing in the background.

The beach is magnificent with old trees, driftwood and nature simply aging from the salt and the sea. I would love to go back one day.

Just an ending note ... Aperture Art Creations which I own is a business of nature photography art. As it is part of my business, I sell and provide nature artwork. Should you wish to share my photos, I ask you only to credit Aperture Art Creations as my photos that I sell are part of my income.
