Can I be real with you guys for a second?
It’s been a while since you’ve seen my face around here, or much of anything from me, really. We’re fixing that. 🤎 Wedding season has been soooo busy, but there are some new faces here, so I figured it was time to pop in and give you a little glimpse into my brain.
Hi, I’m Zoe. I’m based in eastern South Dakota, I photograph a little bit of everything, but weddings are kinda my thing.
I love getting cute to shoot a wedding, but catch me at a random weeknight session and I’m either showing up comfy or in full glam. There is no in-between. 😂 Fun fact, I’m also a licensed cosmetologist.
More than anything, I just really like people. I’m here for the gossip from my seniors, the family drama you definitely weren’t supposed to tell me, the inappropriate wedding party jokes, and everything in between. I’ll talk about the wheat crop with your Grandpa, still 100% relate to your toddler who just wants a snack, and fully understand the senior girl upset about the heat melting her makeup.
At the end of the day, I’m just a girl who gets it.
I’ll drive my Camry into questionable places for a good photo, hop into a farm truck covered in coffee cups and Copenhagen to explore your ranch, and apparently even get a tattoo at a wedding if the opportunity presents itself.
My parents call me a free spirit. I think I just really love experiencing life.
The people, the animals, the wind through a field, blue hour, sunlight coming through the window at 3 p.m., and all the mundane little things that make you feel something.
I think we all need to feel a little more. And maybe watch the sunset more often.
