**Please Read, Update on our business - Thanks!
It's official, we're on a sabbatical. It was time for a change - time to follow the prompting of the Lord in our hearts. God is calling us to a new challenge - a new phase. So, it is with much excitement (and a feeling of bitter-sweetness) that we will no longer be doing photography as a business.
Matt has chosen to take a full time position at our church continuing with his video role and also taking on several new responsibilities as well. Melissa will still be working her full time job, and with some major changes taking place at her workplace, it will be consuming even more of her valuable time. Although we are sad to have to take Mercer out of his comfort zone of being home with Dad, he is excited about going to "school." He will begin attending preschool when Matt begins work.
As I sit here thinking about the end of this short journey, I feel so blessed that we have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people over the last four years. We have met beautiful brides and brides to be, watched newborns grow into toddlers, chatted with grooms and new dads, photographed moms and their babies, and been blessed by each of them in so many ways. While I hope we have given each of our clients memories that will last a life time - we know that you each have given us a memory we can look back on and be pleased with. You gave us three years of Matt being able to be at home to raise our son - a time in his life we could never have back. For that, we are most grateful.
Knowing that God is in control, we trust this is the right move for us. We plan to still stay on top of photography trends, equipment, and of course Matt will never cease learning about all of the latest technology available. We may even have time to edit some of our own family photos now! We have the hope that the timing for a photography business will come back around to us, but will wait patiently for that call. Until then, it is on to a bigger, God planned picture for the Mayer family.
Thank you to everyone that has framed a picture of ours, sent one on a Christmas card, posted one on Facebook, sat through hours of photos at a wedding shoot, prayed for us, liked our page, recommended us to a friend, paid for a session, laughed at our jokes, got dressed up for their wives for a photo shoot, made their kids smile... and the list could go on and on. Each of you are dearly loved and appreciated for trusting us with your memories.
**As time is available, we plan to continue to do mini-sessions for close friends, family, and repeat clients. We know we have been given a talent and we want to be able to use it as a blessing to those when we can.
Thank you again, sincerely.
Matt and Melissa Mayer (Mercer too!)
