It didn't start out this way; however, it ended up being a day celebrating Iranian food. First, I had lunch at the Caspian restaurant in Foothill Ranch. I love Iranian cuisine, especially koobideh kebab. Then, I drove across Irvine to have Iranian ice cream at Saffron & Rose. What a great day!

In the end, the commute between Irvine and San Clemente was more than I could handle. I will miss working with the great colleagues at the office in San Clemente. Next week, I start a new job (or I should say, the same job with the same insurance company) here in Irvine, which will cut my commute from 90 minutes to 20 minutes round-trip. Whenever a door closes, another door opens.

I had dinner yesterday with some neighbors/friends at Lucille's Barbecue in Tustin. There is nothing like Southern comfort food to hit the spot. Instead of barbecue, I opted for chicken-fried steak with gravy. It was delicious.
