Y’all... I am SO excited about how many extended family sessions I’ve had this year! I have been begging you guys to gather your fam and get it done! The Tobias family did exactly that! They welcomed me into their absolutely beautiful sanctuary of a backyard, gathered the whole crew together, and gave me the chance to document the love and connection of their family.

Extended family sessions aren’t always the easiest thing to organize, but they are SO worth it. Get the grandparents, get the kids, get the cousins and get the big group shot AND all those smaller combinations in between.

You will never regret having photos of the people you love together. Thank you, Tobias family, for inviting me into your little piece of paradise and trusting me to capture yours.

Twins... same senior session, two VERY different vibes. Aiyana and Cameron decided to do their senior pictures together, but we made sure they each got to put their own twist on their part of the session!

Aiyana is a wrestler, and while she wasn’t quite feeling a full wrestling setup, there was absolutely NO WAY we weren’t documenting that impressive collection of medals. And for Cam? There was never really a question! Football meant we HAD to head to Viking Stadium!

Two seniors, two personalities, two completely different passions, and one pretty awesome session! I loved getting to capture this huge milestone for both of them!

Remember Hockey Tyler? Get ready for Part Two: Tyler OFF Ice!

After absolutely killing the first half of his senior session at the rink, we traded the hockey gear, dramatic lighting and slippery ice for a completely different vibe. It turns out, Tyler photographs just as well without skates!

This is exactly why I love senior sessions! One minute we’re creating epic sports photos that show off something you’ve spent years doing, and the next, we’re capturing you outside of the uniform.

One of the best parts about photographing one of your good friends and her family? It barely feels like work. Every single K***z family session is basically just me hanging out with my friends... except I happen to have a camera in my hand and occasionally yell at everyone to look at me!

Katie and her crew always make these sessions so much fun. Lots of laughing, plenty of messing around, and somewhere in between all of it, we manage to make some pretty great photos.

Love this family... and always love getting them in front of my camera ❤️

There are some sessions where the location just feels meant for the person... and this was absolutely one of them. Summer reached out to me for a branding session to capture her work with Craniosacral Therapy and sound baths, and the Sunken Gardens couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. Peaceful, natural, quiet and tucked away from the rest of the world, it reflected the calming, grounded energy Summer brings to her work so beautifully.

I also had to grab a couple of sweet photos with Summer's partner Ryon. They are the absolute cutest!

This one feels a little surreal. I first met Braeden when he was only 5 or 6 years old, when I photographed him for the very first time. If you had told me back then that someday I’d be taking his SENIOR pictures, I’m not sure I would have believed you. And yet somehow, here we are!

One of the coolest parts of doing this job for so many years is getting to watch kids grow up through my lens. I’ve photographed so many little faces that have somehow turned into teenagers and seniors right in front of me. Braeden is extra special because he’s the son of one of my best friends.

It’s wild how quickly the years between “little kid pictures” and senior pictures disappear. These kids need to stop growing up so quickly!

Grandparents, grown kids, cousins... and one very loved little great-grandbaby. Four generations together in one place, and this is exactly why I will always encourage you to schedule the extended family session.

Listen, I know getting everyone together isn’t easy. Schedules are crazy, kids grow up, families spread out, and no one will ever say that family photo sessions are convenient or easy.

Do them anyway. It's always worth it

Hey friends! A little scheduling heads-up!

I’m having surgery September 10th, so for now I’m only booking sessions for October. Depending on how quickly I bounce back, I may open up a few September dates, but I’m not making any promises until I see how this whole “having surgery and being a responsible patient” thing goes.

Because of that, October is booking FAST. If you still need family photos or senior photos this fall, please reach out ASAP! At the rate my calendar is filling, I fully expect October to be booked within the next week or so.
