⁉️Why hire a homecoming photographer⁉️

✨these are the days you will want back✨ They are the memories you will play over and over again in your mind.

Every little moment ♥️ And you should be focused on that moment and not worried about taking a photo on your phone!

I can’t tell you the number of times I have had a client come back to me & say: “I am so thankful I didn’t have to worry about taking my own photos i don’t know how I would have done it!” There is a lot going on! A lot of emotions.

Homecoming is a big moment!!! You have gone through a hell of a lot to get to that moment. You deserve to enjoy it!! And to be able to lol back on that moment!

Here are a few other less obvious reasons to hire a photographer:

🇺🇸 Built in homecoming expert!! They ideally have shot a few homecomings before! They can share tips & tricks and help guide you through the day
🇺🇸They are a professional. They should know how to capture a moment in any light setting or weather!! All those things are out of your control on homecoming day & it can make it hard to capture photos on a phone!
🇺🇸 all your friends and family are going to want to see photos. This way yo I can tell them you have a photographer who is taking care of it and will send photos when the photographer send you photos. It will lessen the stress! I promise. You will be surprised by how many people text you for photos…
🇺🇸 Preserve the moment for generations to come! That way you can show your kids one day and maybe if you are lucky your grand kids!!
🇺🇸 Show your friends and family a little window into military life. It’s hard to describe unless you have lived it yourself!
🇺🇸 Plus you will have a built in Bestfriend for the day!!! This is one of my favorite reasons!!! I love being my clients best friend for the day. It’s emotional day & it’s nice to have someone to go through it with!!

What to wear to homecoming?

I spent more time than I can to admit debating what to wear the first time my husband came home. I agonized over it.

Homecoming is such an exciting time but it can also be overwhelming. You are exited, nervous, released, stressed, relaxed. Your loved one is finally returning and it’s easy to stress about the perfect outfit. Here are few tips I can give after attending multiple homecomings.

⭐️ Wear something comfortable! You could be waiting for a while, we all know times shift last minute.

⭐️ Wear something you feel confident in. Don’t worry about what everyone else is wearing. Wear what makes you feel like you!

⭐️ Being a change of shoes! If you are going to wear heals or Flipflops bring a part of comfy closed toed shoes. That way you can wait in the comfy pair and throw on the cute ones last minute! (Also if your husband is on a ship and they let you on the ship you are actually supposed to have closed toed shoes on)

⭐️ Look at the weather! Be prepared for the heat, rain or snow (rarely snow but hey you never know!)

⭐️Be prepared for it to be windy! Whether your loved one is returning by plane, ship or bus there is typically always a wind factor

Long story short just be you!! And wear what makes you the most comfortable. I promise no matter what you wear your loved one will just be happy to see you!!! They have been looking forward to seeing you. Not your dress or the right shoes. So have fun with it!
