Good morning everyone! Happy Friday!

Showers and thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening. Some could be strong to severe. Main threats are heavy rainfall which could lead to localized flooding, frequent lightning and 40-50 mph wind gusts. So be weather aware this afternoon and evening and keep that umbrella nearby if your out and about. Also if you plan on hitting the beach today or this weekend there is a moderate rip current risk. Use caution if you hit the waves and swim near a lifeguard if possible.

9 years ago today Hurricane Irma impacted Florida. I'm going to create an album titled Hurricane Irma that will have pictures and videos from my point of view. I will post that album Saturday or Sunday.

Today, September 10th, marks the official peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. So far in 2026, the Atlantic has produced only 5 named storms and zero hurricanes. As of right now, tropical cyclone activity is not expected during the next 7 days.
