I take train photos of trains with dslr and a drone. My main focus is on worndown, rusty, and older trains, but I also do seasonal shots.

Horse Shoe Curve photos from a weekend or 2 ago. NS’s tree clearing really helped for viewing the whole curve! I also cleared lots of brush so others dont have to hike along the ROW and cleaned 1/2 a contractor bag of trash some jagoffs left behind in between passing trains.

Amtrak 42 finally came over the mountain top passed me. I only managed to get two pictures before my lenses got wet in the sleet + hail. I didn’t need the sleet and hail. That’s it. I’m not walking to Allegrippus curve. Straight to Horse Shoe Curve I go my boots and coat are too wet for this.

Sitting on the east side of Bennington’s Curve a few trains went by while I pondered if I should keep on walking east to Allegrippus Curve for Amtrak 42 if I had time. The trains that came by took too long and more rain moved in so I decided not to keep trudging east down the mountain.

During my trek to Bennington’s Curve I made a small detour to the east side of Bennington’s Curve, I felt like the lighting was better and I was also pondering going to Allegrippus Curve for Amtrak 42 if I had time.

During my trek to Bennington’s Curve i chose to take the more flat and less muddy path to Bennington’s Curve, luck me o was well positioned to get this angle as this manifest crept down the mountain behind me as I walked. The trail on the other side of the main is almost always wet and with my boots already soaked I wanted no part of that as I walked further east.

First spot of the day on top of the mountains last weekend. I found a trail that leads overtop of the Gallitzen Tunnels! The lighting was meh with the overcast and rain. Way too cold that morning to stay here for long. I waited for only 2 trains and then the sun rose fully snd changed the lighting. The trail was overgrown and super muddy but i cleared it on my trek down to bennington’s curve.

I was walking around at the Seldom Seen Greenway taking fall foliage pictures when a Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway train came by nearly catching me off guard. I was expecting a green-bean or a tiger leading but yo my surprise it was 1776 leading. The train had 5 engines but only 20 ish cars.

have anyone been here? Im looking to go to the overlook and am wondering if i should just walk or ride a bike. I doubt the road goes far up the mountain so I don’t know what kind of steep and un maintained road or path I’m dealing with. It’s also hunting season so i might wanna just wait.
