JERSEY CITY PROMS..…through the years. ( 1950s,1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s)

Who still remembers their prom? Who remembers their date? Anyone marry their dates?

I'm walking down memory lane and am remembering how much fun it was to go to the prom during my time in Jersey City.

A memorable prom moment for me was when I had the chance to go to the Academy of St Aloysius prom. My date was from the Heights who I had the biggest crush on.....yeah, I still remember the great times.

Who else has a PROM Moment to share?

JUST A THANK YOU NOTE TO BOULEVARD DRINKS….whether they are closing or not, Everyone is getting their Hot Dog fix in.

Many of the tributes go back in time when they mention the original owners, their favorite topping or how important it was for everyone to have a hot dog joint they are proud to call their own.

With the uncertainty of when they are closing ( or not), today’s coffee talk is just to say “THANK YOU”!

Thanks for being a special place for all of us and a special THANK YOU to the guys behind the counter making sure our Hot Dogs had the right amount of onions, sauerkraut and ketchup.

Until the owner announces that it’s time to wrap up….stop by and say hello, grab a hot dog or two( make sure one of them includes the original)

MEMORIAL DAY

Originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day pays tribute to lives lost while serving in the United States military.

This day is observed on the last Monday of May each year.
