To my fellow photographers, there’s a scam going around. I was contacted by someone named Kim Jones wanting to schedule a photoshoot for their daughter. We messaged back and forth and then it came time for her to send me the deposit. I used my phone number for my Zelle account. She said that she got a message saying there was something wrong with my account and to call the number in the text message. I got on the Zelle customer service page and it instructs me to call my bank with any issues. No one attempted to send me money or request money.
At this point I knew it was a scam and told her not to contact me anymore.
