Begin where you are Certified Professional Photographer, Certified Forever Affiliate; I've been passionate about all things photography all my life, since my first

camera at age 5. I've embraced my passion and evolved to help families curate their family archives so their family stories will last for generations. If you would like to curate that box of old family photos, or simply begin your own by taming your digital photos, you are in the right place.

If you look closely at the framed FDR image you will see the outline where the photo on the left was placed to make the most of the mat of the FDR photo.

A client asked me to take photos out of the frames to scan and add to their Forever archive. I don’t know about you but I have often added photos on top of the previous photos. There were there frames that hid multiple past photos but this one really made me laugh - apparently it’s been done for generations look what was hiding behind this old family photo! 🤣

As a kid through my teens and college, I loved being in the darkroom - even as I began my photography career in the 90s; it was my space, my sanctuary, my safe zone from the world (and high school), and actually kind of meditative - where I could just be me - unjudged. No matter if that darkroom was at school, college, or at home. Well the days of developing film and photos are looong over, my darkroom became my workroom/art studio, a bunch of years ago. Today, it’s my main workspace but decorated a little more vintage, some fake plants, painted light blue walls with color accents. And you know what? I adore being there. Yea, there aren’t any windows BUT I can focus on projects. Like today, spent over 4 hours organizing client photos, finished the process for unfurling a panoramic photo, copying negatives, and a couple slides. Do I miss the sunshine? Yea. But at 6 degrees, I’m certainly not going outside! So Vitamin D + my happy light is just fine. Life is good.

Congratulations to the Historical Society of Jermyn, Pa.!

They had the grand opening of their new museum yesterday! It’s always exciting to see history available for the public to see.

Remember - TODAY is tomorrow’s history. You are living it. The historical society in your town needs your support and even involvement. Share the changes in your town you’ve seen, taken photos of, or relavent family items that would bless others to enjoy and understand the roots of their community.
