Go see this lady and her art at the Kalamazoo Nature Center’s Buy Local art fair this weekend!! (9am-4pm.) Her paints are native made. Also she’s my friend and a really wonderful human. Her art is mostly these detailed, colorful animals and plants (she is magic) but she’s also making some holiday-themed art for sale this year!

These photos are from a little branding session we did this past summer.

I know, I completely evaporated from this account, I’ve been focusing on some larger projects—but I’ll be updating here occasionally still! With love, Kira 🤍

5 magical minutes with a stranger ✨ I visited Kellogg Manor House yesterday with my little family and encountered Abbey there, volunteering for the day. How could I resist capturing her among the manor’s holiday charms? Mirrors, garlands, fireplaces, lamps, tapestries… what a dream 🤍✨ She said yes at once and we had 5 minutes to work… How cinematic are these photos 😍✨✨✨

Blessed Samhain to all who celebrate, here at the end of the green time, this wild and windy leaf-color wonder-whirlwind.
November brings the beginning, quiet, dark, & dream-filled, for this is where all things begin…

Photo from a “Being Seen” women’s photography workshop which began with a story-meditation I designed to take the listener within and retrieve a significant, personal image, feeling, word or phrase. And then we collaborated to translate this into a photograph. Absolute magic. A glimpse of the current contours of the soul.

Atop a high hill overlooking the future, a woman finds her own edges, her boundaries, when to say yes, when to say no ✨

I’m working on developing a way to share these workshops with more people, I will share more as I know more 🤍🤍🤍
