Well friends...
2026 has already brought another big change for Hannah Nichole Photography.

After saying goodbye to Louisiana, I'm officially calling South Carolina home. Rock Hill, to be exact.

If you've been following along for a while, you know this little business has been on quite the journey over the last few years. What started in Illinois led me to New Mexico, then Louisiana, and now South Carolina. Every move has brought its own adventures, challenges, and opportunities that I never could have planned for.

Back in New Mexico, I learned to keep an eye out for rattlesnakes during sessions and fell in love with wide-open landscapes, mountain views, and endless sunsets. More importantly, it introduced me to some incredible people who trusted me to capture their stories and became friends along the way.

Louisiana brought a completely different kind of magic. From wandering through the colorful streets of the French Quarter to photographing beneath giant oak trees draped in Spanish moss, it quickly became a place that felt like home, even during my short time there.

𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫.

One of my favorite parts of photography has always been exploring new places and meeting new people. Now I get to do that throughout the Carolinas. From charming small towns and mountain views to coastal sunsets and everything in between, I'm excited to explore every corner of this beautiful region and document the stories that make each place unique.

While moving boxes and unpacking for what feels like the hundredth time isn't exactly my favorite hobby, this move feels different. South Carolina already feels like a place where we can put down roots, build community, and create a home for years to come.

To every client, friend, and family member who has supported Hannah Nichole Photography through every state line crossed, thank you. Whether you've been here since Illinois or just recently found my work, your support has carried me through every move, every new beginning, and every mile in between.

While South Carolina may be home, my bags aren't staying unpacked for long. I'll continue serving clients throughout the Carolinas and traveling wherever your story takes me.

Here's to new adventures, new faces, familiar faces who continue to follow along, and all the stories waiting to be told in this next chapter.

South Carolina, I'm so excited to meet you. 💛

A (super) quick trip back to Illinois for my sister's maternity photos.

The skies were gray, the rain came and went, and most people would probably call it less-than-ideal weather. But honestly, the soft light that came with it was worth every cloud.
Considering I had stepped off a plane only about six hours earlier, I couldn't have asked for a better evening.

It's pretty wild watching your older sister, the same one who "lovingly" picked on you growing up, get ready to become a mom. This journey for her hasn't been the easiest, but Baby Boy Seibert is already so loved.

I can't wait to watch this next chapter unfold. 💛

Matt & Dislayre

Oh, I could talk about these two forever.

Matt reached out to book a Save the Date session while he and Dees were visiting New Orleans all the way from Mexico City💛

Our plans shifted a little thanks to some flight delays that had them landing in New Orleans at 1 AM the night before, but somehow the morning still turned out absolutely perfect. After a full week of gloomy skies and nonstop rain, we were gifted the dreamiest sunshine for their session.

And can we please talk about Dees for a second? She’s a fashion designer, which honestly became obvious the second she stepped out in that outfit. Every detail was perfection. She even helped design her own engagement ring, which makes it feel even more special and completely her.

We spent the morning roaming through the French Quarter, soaking in all the little New Orleans moments, and capturing this season of life for them in a way that felt effortless and fun.

Matt & Dees, thank you for letting me be a tiny part of your New Orleans getaway.
I already know Mexico City is lucky to have you two 💛

Julia & Will 🤍

🎵🎶Oh-oh-oh-oh, sweet darling — you get the best of my love🎶🎵

Originally from Baton Rouge, these two now call New Orleans home while Will is in medical school—and they knew they wanted their engagement photos to feel like this chapter of life. Full of movement, change, and a little bit of New Orleans magic.

The day started…dramatically.
Like, 6 AM tornado warning kind of dramatic.

But instead of calling it, we leaned in—and somehow ended up with the dreamiest, soft overcast skies at City Park. A little rain, a lot of laughter, and the kind of slow, cozy energy that makes everything feel extra romantic. Honestly, if it doesn’t rain during a spring session in Louisiana…did it even happen?

These two made the entire session feel effortless. The quiet in-between moments, the way they naturally fall into each other, the kind of love that is apparent to even strangers.

We wandered, chased pockets of light, and of course—stopped for a swing moment. Tucked under blooming jasmine, they curled up together, and it was one of those scenes that just felt…right.

And then there’s the ring.
Julia’s ring was made using the diamond from Will’s grandmother—and that alone tells you everything you need to know about them. Thoughtful. Sentimental. Rooted in something deeper. The kind of love that carries stories with it.

Also worth mentioning: Julia casually mentioned she has vertigo…after I had her spinning for a solid two minutes 🫣
(We pivoted quickly, don’t worry—but she handled it like a champ.)

They also came through with top-tier pizza recommendations (I’m still thinking about Tower of Pizza 🍕 👀), so safe to say this session was productive in more ways than one.

Elizabeth, Patrick, and Pepper 🤍

This session looked a little different than originally planned—in the best kind of way. We were supposed to have a few foster pups join us, but before our session even rolled around, they found their forever homes (cue all the happy tears 💛).

So instead, Pepper got her moment… and she absolutely understood the assignment.

From the very beginning, you could see just how loved she is. The way Elizabeth and Patrick looked at her, the way she stayed close, completely content being right in the middle of it all💛 Nothing forced, just them loving on their girl.

Pepper brought all the personality, of course. A little sass, a lot of sweetness, and just enough curiosity to keep things interesting. She made sure she was the main character, and honestly… she earned it.

Sessions like this are such a reminder that family comes in all forms—and sometimes it has four legs and steals the entire show.

So grateful I got to capture this season for them 🤍

UGH.
Tessa & Hattie… I truly cannot handle the sweetness 🥹💛

We met up on one of those warm, slightly muggy New Orleans mornings at City Park, the kind where the air feels thick, the light is soft, and everything just slows down a little. And Miss Hattie? She was taking it all in.

No giggles here. This girl was fully locked into the world around her. The dog walkers, the movement, the sounds… every little thing had her attention, and it was the sweetest thing to witness. Just quietly observing it all with those big curious eyes. And her hair? The softest, most adorable blonde that caught the light in the prettiest way. I’m obsessed.

And Tessa… the way she held her, the way she watched her baby explore the world. It was one of those sessions that didn’t need direction. It just unfolded naturally. The kind of love that shows up in gentle touches, steady presence, and the quiet “I’ve got you” without saying a word.

This session was extra special because it gave me the chance to slow down and really lean into what these Mommy & Me sessions are all about. Not perfection. Not stiff poses. Just connection. The quiet moments. The curious ones. The ones that feel small now but won’t always be.

If you’ve been thinking about getting in the photos with your little one, this is your sign. Not when everything feels “perfect.” Not when your baby is in a “perfect” mood. Right now, exactly as you are.

Mommy & Me Minis are happening Saturday, May 2nd at City Park, and I would absolutely love to capture this season for you.

Come as you are.
Let them be exactly who they are.
I’ll take care of the rest 💛

When your sister and niece are visiting NOLA, a quick photoshoot at City Park is a MUST.

They were originally planning on going to Cafe Du Monde at 7:30am on Decatur St, which, yes, is the classic, iconic experience… but also means crowds, lines, and a whole lot of early morning chaos before you’ve even had coffee. So I gently intervened and convinced them to go to the Cafe Du Monde at City Park instead, and honestly… best decision.

Same powdered sugar covered beignets. Same café au lait. Completely different vibe.

The City Park location is slower, quieter, and surrounded by the most beautiful oak trees. You actually get space to breathe, walk around, and enjoy it without feeling like you’re in the middle of a tourist rush. It feels a little more like a morning you get to soak in instead of rush through, which made it perfect for photos… and for just being together.

So we grabbed our café au lait (still not over the fact that I learned how to actually pronounce that correctly that morning… in my defense, I do not speak French) and wandered through the park capturing little in between moments that ended up being my favorites.

But more than anything, I’m just really thankful I got to spend this time with them while they’re down here. Those visits that mix a little adventure, a little chaos, and a lot of laughter always end up meaning the most.

My niece Taylor is on a mission to hit all 50 states before she turns 30, and I absolutely love that for her. She only has a handful left, and it makes me so happy that one of those stops brought her here while we’re living in this season of life. 💛

The Zulz family takes on Exchange Alley 🤍

What happens when you bring three boys to Exchange Alley?
Oh… you already know.

There will be a few tears.
Someone is definitely going to trip.
And yes… someone will find the most questionable puddle to play in (don’t worry, we had hand sanitizer on standby).

But somehow, in the middle of all that chaos, magic happens. The kind of moments you hold on to forever. The ones that make you instantly belly laugh mid session.

And I promise you… it’s always worth it.

So grateful I got to spend a little slice of their New Orleans vacation with the Zulz family 🤍
