I realize that posting everyday is hard for me to remember but anyhow, here’s a photo for yesterday and today.

I look at this red bush over my fence every day and it just continues to bloom. It’s just out of reach.

On the other hand, a rusty boat. As it continues to get no care, it continues to disintegrate.

I forgot to post last night but here is yesterday’s photo.

When I took this I thought about how much of ourselves we cover up. There’s such a mess behind this door. But unless you look closely you only see a pretty wreath.

There’s more to the story. A series. I’m planning to do a photo per day through June and July. I want every photo to be intentional and represent the daily moments that can have greater meaning if we slow down long enough to experience them. So here’s to day one.

This watercolor pallet is my favorite. When I walked into the room to see Stella playing with it, my initial reaction was irritation. I started to tell her she didn’t need to touch my things but I paused when she said, look I made you something. She brought it over to show me that she had painted “love you” in the lid. The guilt came immediately. So I stopped and I hugged her and said thank you that’s very sweet. If I’d came in the room any sooner I’d have told her to stop and missed out on this moment. So today I’m grateful for these little reminders to slow down and be present with the ones I love.

I love watching this sweet boy grow!!! 🖤
