Shooting motorsports can be dangerous, but it's nothing compared to what the drivers face. Glad Kaylees okay after a very hot Silver Crown race today.
I like keeping it real with you guys even when it’s not a cool post. This is the first time I’ve ever had to pull off the track because I overheated. I tired my best to stay out, even coming down pit road so my team could pour water on me and give me wet rags to put on my legs. (The seat itself was 130 degrees when I pulled in) I went back out and fought my hardest up to 8th. I even threw up I’m my helmet under caution which is totally gross I know but I’m keeping it real. I stayed out til about 25 to go when I started loosing mental focus. I pulled in and couldn’t talk or do much my face and body was numb and I was really overheated. Heart rate 196 (my highest ever is 186) and body temperature was high. Thankfully the medical team got me back to normal and I’m much better now! It’s not always sunshine and rainbows but this is part of racing on a 106 degree day!
