Since 1981, this uniquely Brazoria County tradition has brought families together for carnival rides, live music, great food, parades, and, of course... the giant mosquito.
To someone just passing through, it might look like an oversized inflatable bug.
But to many of us, it's a symbol of summer. It's where childhood memories were made, traditions were passed down, and another year of life in Brazoria County was celebrated.
Not every place becomes important because of what it is. Sometimes, it's because of what happens there.

If you'd be willing to share any, please post them in the comments or send me a message. I'd love to help preserve this piece of Brazoria County history.
