Some of the most important photographs are the ones nobody thought to pose for.

The little hands reaching for theirs.
The stories they tell for the hundredth time.
The way a grandparent somehow always has time.
The ordinary afternoons that become the memories we would give anything to have again.

Because one day, these little moments will be the photographs they hold onto.

Happy Grandparents Day to the people who make childhood feel a little more loved, a little more safe, and a whole lot more fun. 🤍

Some remind us of a place.

And some remind us of exactly where we were when the world changed.

Today, I’m thinking about the people who were lost, the families who never got to say goodbye, the first responders who ran toward the danger, and everyone whose life was forever divided into before September 11 and after.

Twenty five years later, we remember.

We tell the stories.

We keep their names alive.

We will never forget. 🕊️

A gorgeous garden. That bridge. The sweetest first look. Charlie being Charlie. Lots of laughing. A seriously good looking bride and groom. And a wedding day that was every bit as fun as you two.
