I've been meaning to do this for a long time now, and life just gets in the way. For anyone reading, this is going to be a bit lengthy and I understand if people choose not to read through the entire thing. :)
I've been gone for a while. It hasn't been easy. Lately, I've been receiving the most amazing and inspiring messages from customers that found my card from forever ago, or someone on Etsy wondering where my crocheted creatures have gone, or someone finding me somewhere on Pinterest for something I've done. So, let's spend some time in this lengthy post to clear the air and to just let you know what I've been up to and what I've been going through. :)
I went through some personal stuff. I went through a divorce. I went through more personal stuff, and a trip across the country to move back home to Florida. In the midst of all of that, I put my Etsy shop on vacation, and set a lot of things aside to take time for myself, and to truly find Amy again. I did find her, by the way, and she's doing great 3 years later. :)
In the almost 3 years that I've been back in Florida, I've done my soul searching, I found new crafty ventures, I've taken a lot of time to most importantly be with my family. After the move back, spending time with my family became my priority.
Finding time for my crafty creations hasn't been easy, trying to work full time and spend time with family, all while trying to maintain some sort of social life. In those 3 years I've had to rewrite patterns since all of my originals were left across the country. That task has been so hard. I would make the same pattern over and over again, but I always had that piece of paper to rely on. Suddenly, I didn't anymore. It was as if I was learning to crochet all over again.
So now, I'm here. I'm crocheting again when I can and when inspiration hits me. I'm trying my hardest to write patterns, but it seems so difficult sometimes.
My blog is no longer running. My Etsy shop is still on vacation. I can still be reached here on Facebook for any custom orders you need.
My Etsy won't be gone forever, I don't want anyone to think that. Please stay tuned, because I do have some stock left, and I would love more than anything to open it back up one day. I will keep updating my Facebook as long as I see fit.
If you have any questions, feel free to post in the comments here or shoot me a message. You can contact me with any custom orders as well!
Are you really still reading? I'm shocked if you are, actually. LOL! If you are, then comment below with something to inspire me, anything from a movie or tv show that I need to make.
And keep shopping handmade, because it's people that shop local and handmade that keep this whole thing going.
Thank you for all the sweet and kind words in my email or my messages. It's those emails and messages that made me write this. To know that you still think of me, THAT is what truly inspires me.
