The Lansing School District officially opened the doors to the brand-new Willow School, and I had the honor of attending the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony this afternoon.

The BMRW Promotions and Community Foundation hosted a new music event called Rhythm in the Park Series at Old Town Lansing on Sunday, July 13, with a phenomenal performance by Karla Pace and Lyrical Heat Entertainment ! 🎶🎤

It was an afternoon filled with incredible music, positive energy, and great entertainment with community spirit as attendees gathered to enjoy an outstanding live performance.

The Meridian Township Parks & Recreation Summer Concert Series made a strong return after a month-long hiatus with an incredible performance by Elements of Soul! The band also took a heartfelt moment to honor their longtime friend, Anthony "Tony" Thompson, sharing that he would be proud to know The Friends are still making music together and bringing joy to the community.

There were musical performances at the 517 Juneteenth Weekend in REO Town by The Lansing Collective Worship Encounter! Their powerful music brought joy to the crowd, creating an atmosphere of unity, praise, and celebration!

The Lansing Juneteenth Celebration parade that was from Sexton High School to St. Joseph Park was fun to watch! I myself will attend the parade again in the future.

Lansing was full of energy over the weekend during the 517 Juneteenth Weekend in REO Town! Attendees enjoyed inspiring musical performances from The Lansing Collective Worship Encounter and MikeyyAustin, founder and CEO of Ourspace - 517. It was good to see people from many backgrounds and ethnicities celebrating together and enjoying the culture and festivities.
