Some people are just really good company in front of a camera. 😄✨

Vernā Myers is one of those people.

We had such a fun, chatty, lively shoot together a few years ago—and looking back at these images, I’m reminded how much I love creating portraits that have a little range. 📸

Yes, I’ll guide you through posing so you know what to do with your hands, where to put your feet and how to find an angle that makes you look fantastic. 😉 But I also want to give you room to move, laugh, shift, loosen up and let your personality show up.

Because sometimes the magic happens somewhere between the “Okay, hold that…” and the “Alright, now just move!” moments. 💃✨

And those little glimpses of movement can tell us a whole lot about who someone is.

Add in gorgeous fall color, beautiful light and Vernā’s unmistakable presence… and you get portraits with some real life in them. 🍂💙

A little studio time with Nattalee = a whole lot of spark. ✨⚡️

Nattalee is a coach and business strategist who brings energy, curiosity and a very lively presence to everything she does. My job was to make sure her headshots captured some of that. 💫

I ask clients to arrive camera-ready with two favorite outfits that feel like them and fit their brand. 👗👚 Then we play. 🎉

We try different poses, explore colors and backgrounds, find the angles that feel natural, and—most importantly—get to those delicious smiles that actually look and feel like you. 😍

Because a great headshot should do more than show people what you look like.

It should give them a little sense of who they’re going to meet. 👋✨

That’s why we spend so much time getting there — talking about your brand, your style, your wardrobe, the images you love, and most importantly, who you are NOW.

Then comes the fun part. 💄 Lipstick perfected, wardrobe tweaked, a little nervousness, lots of laughter — and suddenly you’re ready to step in front of the camera and BE SEEN.

It starts before the camera ever comes out. We talked through outfits 👗, played with possibilities, and gave her time to settle in with hair and makeup 💄. Because let’s be honest… most of us need a minute before we’re ready to have a camera pointed at us. 😂

Then comes the magic of having a team around you. ✨

Someone watching the details.
A visual artist noticing how you move, when you relax, where the light hits just right. 📸
Someone making you laugh when you start taking yourself too seriously. 😏
And someone in your corner reminding you that, yes—you really do look that good. 🙌

That’s what I love about this work. It’s not just about taking a beautiful picture. It’s about helping you see—and show—the most powerful version of yourself. 💫

This is what happens when you travel with Ai Kubo.

Ai is an unstoppable yoga instructor who brings health and wellness to a whole new level. Her retreats aren’t just about hours on the mat. They’re about adventure, beautiful places, great food, connection, movement, and a seriously robust social life.

On our retreat in Amorgos, Greece, her warmth, generosity and energy brought all of us together—and somehow made a group of people from different corners of the world feel like old friends.

When I’m photographing a team, I love capturing both sides of the story—the collective personality of the business AND the individual people who make it what it is.

Because your clients aren’t just connecting with your brand.
They’re connecting with you.

And that’s especially important for businesses where relationships, trust and personal connection are at the heart of the experience.

The team at Haus of Marin is such a great example. They have this wonderful dynamic—supportive, playful, always helping each other out, and genuinely invested in making their clients feel their absolute best.

One of the things I hear from women all the time is, “I never know what to wear,” or “I’m just not good at getting my picture taken.”

A big part of what I do is help you feel completely prepared before we ever start shooting.

✨ We’ll work together on styling and choosing the right clothing for your brand.
✨ And on shoot day, you’ll have a professional hair + makeup artist there to get you camera-ready and feeling amazing.
