I've always been fascinated by light.
The same person can look bold, mysterious, joyful, powerful, or quietly confident depending on how the light falls across their face. That's why lighting is never just technical—it's emotional.
Recently I began a fine art project photographing flowers. Not only because I wanted to photograph flowers (I love a good bouquet)...but because I wanted to explore emotion without words.
This protea immediately spoke to me.
Strong.
Wild.
A little thorny.
Resilient.
It called for dramatic light and deep shadows that celebrated every thorn and texture rather than hiding them.
When I photograph my clients, we have conversations long before I ever pick up my camera. I want to know who you are, what you've built, what matters to you, and how you want people to feel when they see your portrait.
Because the right light doesn't just illuminate a face.
It reveals a story.
