This surprise proposal was one for the books. There's no bigger honor than to be trusted with moments like this. The ones that happen in a blink but hold so much love.

"A hefty price tag doesn't, and can never, measure the depth of your connection... Love doesn't require a guest list of hundreds; it just needs two people whose hearts are truly intertwined."

I haven’t posted much but I wanted to drop in and share…

This past year has been a whirlwind of changes. My life did a full 180 in a short period. As difficult as that has been, I’ve never felt more peace than I do now.

For a vast majority of my adult life, I’ve put a lot of value in that hustle lifestyle. I built up businesses, wore the “working mom” badge with honor, and never stopped to celebrate the wins in between checked off boxes.

I’m turning 40 next year & I can confidently say I’ve lived many lives in those 40 years.

One thing I learned in this chaos is that my resilience & strength -and most importantly the love I learned to have for myself- shows up, not in hustle, but in quiet peaceful slow days. It shows up in the garden I’ve planted. It shows up in the books read to my son before bed. It shows up in a regulated nervous system.

My heart, mind, body & spirit have had to do a lot of healing this past year. I’ve had to make tough decisions. I’ve had to choose peace for myself & for my son.

When we go through these big rebirths, it’s sometimes hard to see progress- but here’s mine.

I stopped painting years ago. I was burned out. I lost something that was so deeply rooted in my identity & took a lot for me to accept that I may never go back to it.

But here I am, looking at a finished painting that I’m actually proud of.

This is one of 3 that I painted a long time ago, tucked in a box. I wanted to give it new life. So I did a scary thing and sanded them down to start over.

For the first time in forever, I’m painting for the love of art. For me.

These two were an absolute dream to photograph & such kind souls on top of lethal face cards. It was hard to choose which images to share from their session but here are some favorites. Which one is yours?
