Today, April 11, marks National Pet Day, a day dedicated to celebrating our pets and all the love and joy they bring into our lives. For this year's , I was fortunate enough to have been involved in a very special project arranged by "I and love and you" to spread the word about some of Denver's most adoptable dogs. All of these rescue pups have been in foster care for MONTHS...and are still (somehow!) waiting for the perfect person and place to call "home". You can read more about the project and the pups's bios at the link below. After working with these sweethearts during their photoshoot, I can't BELIEVE they haven't all been snatched up yet! Let's help them find a safe place to land this National Pet Day, so they can be loved and celebrated as they should be for the rest of their lives!

This is one of the harder sessions I've done. Which is why I've been putting off writing about it for 2 and a half weeks now. But it is, truly, a huge reason for why I do what I do. Knowing our time with our pets is limited, the importance of documenting that time together is underscored in thick, heavy ink. My heart is totally in pet photography, but I can't resist sharing this picture from Rocky Mountain National Park last night. We took a drive looking for some elk to photograph and managed to catch the last seconds of this gorgeous sunset as well. There was only one other person at the pull-off taking a picture - I feel like I NEED to share so you don't miss out on the gorgeous view!
