As mentioned in the article, I went searching for the pictures I have of my dog Reno. The sweetest dog on the planet. I was mistaken I thought I only had 2 pictures, but I found another!

We got Reno from a friend who was moving when I was about 4 or 5. I’m not sure how old he was, but he was a huge fluffy teddy bear to me. He was that way his whole life. He acted like a puppy. He would chase his curly tail and get so dizzy he would sit for a minute after. He would let you cuddle up to him and climb on him whenever. He didn’t have a mean bone is his whole body.
He was incredibly shy about “potty” things. He would go in the corners of the yard to do his business. The corners of the yard by the street, he would look and make sure no cars where coming before he would go. He did this without any training. He never chased the many cats we had or the stray cats that would wander into the yard. The many liters of kittens we had would climb all over him, he treated them just like puppies.
Near the end of his life he developed hip dysplasia. It was always so sad to see him stand.
On my 13th birthday Reno was up on the porch, were he wasn’t allowed. There was piles of p**p on the porch too. He must have been so embarrassed, but couldn’t work up the strength to get to the corner of the yard. He just wanted to be close to us. Me and my family left for church later that same day, where my Dad went home and took Reno to the vet. I never saw Reno again.

Reno was one of those sweet spirits that never quite leave you. Every time I see these sweet pictures more memories come to me. Memories that I can share, that would have been forgotten had I not had these pictures.

We had the opportunity to go over to Williams Arizona over Labor Day weekend. What a glorious spot to enjoy nature and the cooler weather. Pepper loved the wilderness and exploring. Her nose took her on a few adventures.

Rosie is looking for her forever family

Hi, I'm Rosie!!

I'm about a year and a half old, and I'm looking for a new home. My mom got sick and couldn't take care of me anymore, so I'm staying at the animal shelter until I find a new family. I like a calm and quiet atmosphere, so the noisy shelter makes me very shy and scared, but I love it when the volunteers snuggle with me and let me play with my favorite toy (the sock monkey!). I warm up quicker to women, but if you give me some time, I will be friends with just about anyone!

To visit Rosie and the other adoptable animals, stop by the Mesquite Animal Shelter
795 Hardy Way
Mesquite, NV 89027
Monday-Saturday 11am-1pm
Sunday 1-3pm

PLEASE SHARE!! New studies show that it usually takes at least 50 shares for an animal to get adopted!

We are enjoying this beautiful spring weather, hopefully you are too!!
