All jokes aside, yes our beauty careers may seem like a glamorous job of simply making people feel pretty. But what you don’t always see is everything that happens behind the scenes.
We’re not just applying makeup. We’re helping people feel beautiful, confident, and good from the inside out. We’re calming nerves, listening to stories, helping button a dress, and sometimes being a little part of someone’s most important day. 🤍
And then there’s the part no one sees…
The endless emails. 📧
The phone calls. 📱
The scheduling.
The contracts and invoicing.
The organizing.
The cleaning and sanitizing-constantly. 😅
The packing and unpacking.
The inventory.
The driving for hours.
The early mornings and long days.
And our second full-time job… being moms, wives, partners, daughters, friends, and everything in between.
So yes, we get to make people pretty for a living—and we’re incredibly GRATEFUL for that. 💄✨
But there is so much more behind the brush than people see!
The glam is just the part you get to see.
