I want to share one thing we splurged on for our wedding that, almost a year later, is still one of our favorite investmentsā¦ our flowers.š
Going into planning, we honestly thought weād spend around $3,000 on florals. But once we started getting into the design, the types of flowers we loved, and all the labor that goes into setup, teardown, and moving pieces throughout the dayā¦ that number changed quickly.
We ended up investing around $7,000.
And hereās the thingāif we could go back, weād spend the sameā¦ maybe even moreā¦šš
I know what youāre thinkingāwhy spend that much on something that just dies?
But thatās actually the point.
Flowers are meant to be temporary. They exist in this beautiful, fleeting way that reminds you to be presentā¦ to really soak in the moment youāre in. And when I look back at our photos and videos, the florals completely transformed the space and made everything feel so intentional and cohesive.

For reference, we had a destination wedding at Secrets Playa Blanca in Costa Mujeres and spent about $7,000 total on our flowersāand it was 100% worth it.
