🥃 “I told myself I was buying bourbon. Apparently, I was building a bourbon habitat.” 😂

There’s just something about Kentucky bourbon culture that feels like home. What started as “I’ll grab a bottle for special occasions” somehow turned into a corner of the house that looks like a distillery gift shop.

Every bottle tells a story - road trips through bourbon country, visits to historic distilleries, good times with friends, and a few purchases that were definitely supposed to be my last one.
To some people, this may look like a collection. To a Kentuckian, it looks like a retirement plan.

The bourbon industry helped shape Kentucky for generations, and I’m just doing my part to preserve the history... one bottle at a time.

And honestly, that barrel started as decoration. Now it's basically the team captain.

🥃 If Kentucky had a state hobby, I feel like I'd be overqualified.

Before Louisville’s skyline was filled with glass towers, this dome ruled the city.”

Completed in 1893, Louisville Metro Hall was originally built as Louisville City Hall and quickly became one of the most recognizable buildings in Kentucky. Its massive dome, inspired by European Renaissance architecture, still stands today as a symbol of Louisville’s history, leadership, and growth along the Ohio River.

For more than 130 years, this landmark has witnessed the rise of river commerce, the railroad boom, the Great Flood of 1937, world wars, economic change, and the transformation of Louisville into the modern city we know today.

The glowing dome has become a beacon over downtown Louisville - especially at night - reminding everyone that history is still alive in the heart of the city.

It’s amazing to think generations of Kentuckians have looked up at this same skyline and seen this very building standing proudly above it all.

Hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the moments, memories, and freedoms we often take for granted.

Take a moment today to reflect, remember, and thank those who served and never made it home. ❤️🤍💙

📸 Photography Fun Fact!

Did you know your camera lens actually sees the world upside down? 🤯

Inside every camera lens, light bends and crosses before reaching the sensor, creating an inverted image. Your camera instantly flips it back so everything looks normal in the final photo.

Pretty wild to think every photo starts upside down before becoming the image we see.

Photography really is all about perspective. 👀

🏫 Corbin Primary School - a place where countless first-day jitters turned into lifelong memories, friendships, and futures.

For generations of Corbin families, this school has been more than just a building - it’s been the foundation for learning, leadership, and community pride. From classroom achievements and school plays to championship dreams on the field and court, Corbin students have long carried a tradition of excellence that stretches far beyond these walls. ❤️🐾

Corbin has built a reputation across Kentucky for raising talented students, successful athletes, strong leaders, and hardworking young people who continue making the community proud year after year. Whether it’s academics, arts, music, or sports, the dedication and spirit of Corbin kids always seem to shine bright.

Seeing Corbin Primary from above really puts into perspective how important schools like this are to a town. Every hallway, classroom, and playground holds memories that connect generations of Redhounds.

It’s amazing to think about how many future teachers, nurses, athletes, business owners, and community leaders got their start right here.

Did you attend Corbin Primary School or have family who did? Share your favorite memories below! 📚✏️🏫

🚗☕ Corbin officially has two traffic patterns now:
Regular traffic… and the 7 Brew line. 😂

I flew the drone up and honestly thought I was looking at a mini NASCAR track powered by caffeine and flavored energy drinks. The line was wrapped around the building, backed into the street, and somehow everybody still looked happy waiting on that first sip.

At this point, getting into 7 Brew in Corbin is less of a coffee run and more of a community event. 🤣

Safe to say… folks around here may like their coffee just a little.

Who’s got a go-to order from 7 Brew? 👇

🛼 Small towns always seem to have that one place where generations of memories were made… and for so many in Kentucky, Gerri’s Roller Rink was exactly that place.

From weekend skate nights and birthday parties to first dates, school events, and countless songs echoing across the floor, places like this became more than just buildings - they became part of the community’s story.

Seeing Gerri’s from above really puts into perspective how much history sits inside these walls. Long before social media and smartphones, this was where friends gathered, kids grew up, and memories were made one lap at a time.

It’s always special getting to capture pieces of Kentucky history like this with the drone. Even buildings that may seem quiet today still hold decades of laughter, music, and hometown memories.

Did you ever skate at Gerri’s Roller Rink? Share your memories below - favorite songs, skate nights, arcade memories, or who you went with. 🛼📸

It’s hard to believe it has already been one year since the devastating EF4 tornado tore through London and southeastern Kentucky. What began as an ordinary spring evening quickly became one of the most powerful tornadoes ever recorded in our state’s history.

With winds reaching 170 mph, stretching nearly a mile wide at its peak, and carving a path over 55 miles long, this storm changed countless lives forever. Families lost loved ones, homes, businesses, memories, and entire neighborhoods in a matter of moments.

Over the past year, I’ve captured pieces of the rebuilding process through my lens — not just the destruction, but the resilience, determination, and heart of this community. These photos and videos serve as a reminder of both the tragedy we endured and the strength that followed.

Kentucky has always been known for coming together in difficult times, and London proved exactly that. Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers became family. Communities rebuilt side by side.

Today we remember those impacted, honor those we lost, and continue praying for the families still rebuilding their lives one day at a time.

Kentucky Strong wasn’t just a phrase — it became a way of life. ❤️
