My capstone consisted of five large scale menstrual blood gum bichromate and cyanotype prints. Research is an incredibly important part of my artistic practice, which is why I’m so grateful for the introduction I had to medieval monasticism last semester. For those who also indulge in hidden meaning and history, I included explanations for each print 🕊️💘🩸💒

Although I have one semester of school left to complete for my Women’s & Gender Studies and LGBTQ/Sexuality Studies minors, I want to thank all my professors, colleagues, and friends for carrying me through this adventure called Art School… brb crying 🫀🏹

A portion of my smaller zine, “Drag Your Mattress in Here,” which is about patriarchal, religious upbringing.

Accompanying the previous zine I posted, “Heaven Is Inside You,” together they represent the idea that traumatic childhood experiences manifest into physical illness. PCOS has been directly linked to childhood trauma, so in my studies I’ve been interweaving the consequences of institutional religion and patriarchal marriage with childhood-originating mental and physical illness.

An intimate 32 page collection of selected diary entries and poetry from 2024-2025.

Writing is my go-to catharsis when depressed. Most of these raw entries about heartbreak, romance, self-discovery, and grief were written in a fury of emotion and under the assumption that they would never be read by anyone else, simply because of how vulnerable they are. I hope that by reading these entries, you’ll feel a little less scared of your own darkest secrets and thoughts.
