This weekend’s session had me reminiscing about one of my all-time favorite in-home shoots — the sweetest little family in the most beautifully vintage-decorated house. Every corner had character, charm, and a story to tell… and it felt like stepping into a different era in the best way.

Sessions like that remind me why I love what I do. No two homes are the same, no two families are the same — and your gallery shouldn’t be either. I’m always intentional about editing each session to match your vibe. Whether that’s warm and nostalgic, light and airy, bold and moody, or somewhere in between, I want your photos to feel like they truly belong in your space and reflect your story.

Today’s in-home newborn lifestyle session was so sweet.

I’m not a traditional newborn photographer with all the perfectly posed setups — that style is beautiful, but it’s just not me. I love capturing your real life… the natural cuddles, the quiet in-between moments, and the way you look at your brand new baby.

And I’ll never say no to a good snuggle sesh.

Being a photographer in a heavily saturated market can feel… overwhelming.

There are so many talented creatives. So many styles. So many beautiful feeds to scroll through. It can be easy to question yourself. To compare. To wonder if there’s even room for you.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

There is room.

Because no one else sees the world exactly the way you do. No one else interacts with families the way you do. No one else captures emotion through your lens, with your heart behind it.

In a saturated market, you have two choices — compete, or connect.

I choose to connect.

I choose to be honest about what I offer. I choose to refer out when I know someone else is a better fit. I choose to stay in my lane and keep growing instead of constantly comparing.

The market may be full… but authenticity will always have space.

And I’m so grateful for every family who chooses me in a sea of options. That trust never goes unnoticed 🤍

Let's talk about something that has been sitting on my heart for a moment.

One thing you may find when you reach out to me is that if I don’t feel fully confident that I’m the best fit for what you’re looking for — whether it’s a style preference or something outside my comfort zone — I will gladly refer you to another photographer who may better match your vision.

I truly believe that’s the honest thing to do. I would never want to mislead anyone or give false hope, only for you to feel disappointed in the end. Your memories are too important for that.

My goal is always for you to walk away happy — even if that means guiding you to someone else who can serve you better. 🤍

Feeling incredibly grateful after this weekends minis.

Thank you to every client who trusts me with their stories, their milestones, and their most meaningful moments. From life’s biggest celebrations to the quiet, tender memories in between—it is truly an honor to be part of it all.

And yes, that includes even the youngest of my clients 💕 The tiny hands, curious eyes, wiggly moments, and pure joy remind me why I love what I do. Every age, every stage, every story matters.
