Hello all!
I've been putting off making this post because it's been a tough decision for me to make, but I'm here to announce that my last photo session that I'll be doing (for the foreseeable future) will be this coming weekend.
It has been hard to make this decision, especially because in the last few weeks I've had SO MANY inquiries from both my regulars plus all kinds of new faces, but I also know that it is time to take this step.
I'm at a point in my life where all of my extra time needs to be going to my incredibly wonderful and increasingly active, growing girl.
So for now, I'll be saying farewell to the photography world and hope to be able to pick it up again someday.
Thank you for all of the support over the years, it means more than you'll ever know ❤❤❤

I'm not one for the cold, but after our big noreaster recently, we just had to go out in it for a little bit. Maternity pics were needed and there was so much pretty fresh snow. I noticed in my back field that the trees were still covered in snow and it had not blown off yet. So we trekked into what ended up being over a foot of snow (well some of us rode a snowmobile 😉). Imagine my excitement when I realized once we got back there that there was a snow tunnel of trees!!!!
So snowy Maternity pictures were taken, we did not freeze, and now we've got some special pictures to celebrate the new little girl coming to our family next month!

I always ask, but 99% of the time I can't convince mom to jump in for a photo during senior pictures. So I get really happy when a mom does, because most likely the next time you're gonna get a professional photo done with your boy will be at their wedding. That's too long in my opinion.
Always take the picture- it doesn't matter how you look, you will both be happy that you did.
Ps-this ended up being one of my most favorite from the session!

I feel so lucky to have my own brother and sisters, and for this reason I tend to get especially sentimental whenever I'm able to capture some affection between siblings. We all know it's not always hugs and kisses, but it's just so dang cute and special when those moments do come up.

Back from maternity leave and it only seemed fitting that my first session be with my favorite people at my favorite location!
The rest of my busy fall schedule starts this weekend, and I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. Lots of family and senior sessions coming up!
Also, I've had a TON of inquiries over the last couple of weeks, so thought it best to make a general announcement of my availability for the remainder of the year. Obviously, the amount of free time I have now compared to pre baby has decreased significantly. This means that I'm having to take on less sessions each month then I used to be able to. Because I want to give each and every client's photos the attention and care they deserve, I feel that it's best to make this change and stick with it for now.
I am currently fully booked for both September and October. For the month of November I've got space for 4 sessions and for December, 2 sessions. Weekend availability open for both months!
Also, I will not be doing holiday minis this year. 😔 Though this is always a fun day for me, this year I've got a new baby nephew due to arrive at the beginning of December. It's important to me that I am available for my family during this time, so mini sessions are just not feasible this year. Also, stephy is usually a huge help in making my mini sets, so if she's in labor that means we won't have a nice set to play with anyways 😆
So if you're wanting photos for Christmas cards and gifts, now is the time to get on the schedule! Shoot me a message and we'll come up with a plan.

I'm back! I've got lots of photo announcements to share, but before we get into all that, I want to show you the reason for my absence this summer.

On July 3rd, my long awaited baby girl Abigail Joy Rendall was born. It was a wonderful experience. Truthfully, labor was one of the easier things I have been through considering everything I've experienced to get her here. Though I wanted to hire a birth photographer, given visitor restrictions, it was not an option. I still brought my camera in hopes someone in the room would snap some photos for me to edit later. And I got super lucky because a fellow nurse/ photographer (shout out to Alyssa RN at MidCoast!) was on that day. She took my camera and got some beautiful shots- including this one that was taken about 10 seconds after Abby was born. It's such a beautiful moment captured that I will cherish forever. Thank goodness for awesome nurses❤
My girl has kept me very busy and on my toes this summer, not leaving time for much else. But we're starting to get into the swing of things. She is now 2 months old and getting used to my camera in her face 😆 picture #2 & 3 are from her 2 month old photoshoot that I did this weekend. Theme, farm life!🦃🐓🦢🦆🐴 (yes, I do monthly themed photoshoots for all my family babes!)
We're having a good time over here and loving our new family.

Peek from the last session I did before going on break, and these girls NAILED IT! We of course got a lot of fun photos complete with champagne popping, confetti and laughs. It was a great way to start off the Bachelorette Party shenanigans that day. I highly recommend it for all the future brides to be.
Congrats to Lyndsay on her upcoming wedding this weekend!!

I had my sister come over last week and man my camera for me so that we could get some maternity pictures with our bull (he tries to attack people he doesn't know, so he wasn't allowed to come for the official session I had booked with Emily Leonard Photography).
Even though the family pictures we got that evening came out good, this one ended up being my favorite of the bunch- and Rhett is no where to be found, of course! 😆
35 weeks today and getting SO CLOSE to the end, I literally can not wait for it. I'm ready to see her little face and for all the baby snuggles. I'm also ready to be able to breathe again without feeling like I'm going to faint. And to not be sick anymore. And to go from a sitting to standing position easily again. You know, the simple things. 🤪

This boy right here, will always have my heart. He's high energy, inquisitive, helpful, loving and a little stubborn. And as a result, he's certainly a lot more difficult to photograph than he used to be, though I'm equally as stubborn, so I've got a good match 😆
now, he only allows for about 3 seconds for his picture to be taken and then it's his "turn" with the camera. I can't tell you how many pictures of the grass or blurry shots of me I went through when I uploaded these pictures. But we have fun and I love any time that I get to spend with him, even if it's a little chaotic 🤪

I know, I know, I have been SO BAD at posting on here these last few months. Honestly, I just need someone to do this part for me- I'm no good at the social media game! 😆
But I promise, I have actually been doing photo things, even though it doesn't look like it on here. With the warming weather comes more sessions!
Here's one of the recent family sessions done at my most favorite place. They were perfect in front of the camera, the temp wasn't freezing for the beginning of May on the coast, and we were able to get a lot of different and fun family photos.
