Ten years ago, I walked the streets and waterfront of Boston with a camera and no collection in mind.

I was drawn to old ships, church steeples, weathered steel, historic buildings, and quiet moments hidden between them. At the time, they were simply photographs. Looking back, I realized they were all connected by the same thread.

Rust and Reverence is a collection about the places where history lingers—where aging machinery stands beside monuments, where preservation meets decay, and where the stories of a city remain etched into stone, steel, wood, and light.

From the harbor to Beacon Hill, these images explore a Boston shaped by memory, endurance, and the passage of time.

The complete collection is now available on my website.

Before the day fully wakes up, the world feels different. The creek moves steadily through the canyon, wildflowers bloom unnoticed along the path, and wildlife goes about its day without concern for who's watching.

This morning's hike offered no grand spectacle—just a collection of quiet moments. A mallard standing against the current. A family of bighorn sheep feeding along the road. The soft colors of the canyon beneath a summer sky.

The longer I spend outdoors, the more I appreciate that not every photograph needs to be dramatic. Sometimes the beauty is found in the small things: a glance, a reflection, a flower, or a fleeting encounter that lasts only a few seconds.

These are a few moments from today's adventure.

Even in the harshest places, life finds a way to bloom.

A single cactus flower opening among stone, shadow, and silence—a reminder that beauty doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.

Sometimes it grows anyway.

A new day, without needing to rush it.

The light comes back slowly—
stretching across the horizon,
finding its way through branches,
warming what’s been waiting.

Some things don’t need to bloom all at once.

There is a moment in winter when everything softens.

The wind quiets.
The mountains hold their breath.
And the world feels suspended between stillness and change.

This is that moment.

Introducing Part I of my winter collection:
Cathedral of the Divide.

A study of light, silence, and the quiet presence of winter in the mountains.

Green isn’t just a color.

It’s life. It’s protection. It’s home.

Deep in the forests of Uganda, this kind of green holds entire worlds — where mothers guide, young ones learn, and silence carries more meaning than words ever could.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the wild.

Not all lions rule from the ground.

In Queen Elizabeth National Park, some have learned to climb, stretching out along the branches as they belong there.

A reminder that the wild is always more adaptable and more surprising than we expect.

As the light fades, the prairie quiets.

The wind settles into the grass, and the last watchers take their posts above the field.

Some moments in nature are loud and dramatic.

Others are just still.

And just as beautiful.

While the mountains get most of the attention in Colorado, the plains have their own quiet beauty.

Endless grass, big skies, and the steady silhouettes that have watched over this land for generations.

Sometimes the quiet places hold the strongest stories.
