I’ve lived in Michigan my whole life, and honestly, I don’t think I could live anywhere without all four seasons. 🤎

There’s something about watching everything change throughout the year—the first signs of spring, long summer evenings, crisp fall days, and the quiet of winter.

I love that each season brings something different. Different colors, different light, different little moments to look forward to.

Maybe I’m just a Michigan girl through and through, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. 🌷☀️🍂❄️

Some memories stay with us in the smallest details.

I was in 3rd grade on September 11, 2001. I remember our classroom TV being turned on and watching the second tower get hit. I was too young to understand the full weight of what was happening, but I remember being there. I remember seeing it. I remember the feeling in the room.

It’s strange what our minds choose to hold onto.

A moment from decades ago can still feel close, while so many ordinary days completely disappear from our memory.

Maybe that’s why I’ve always loved photographs. They give us another way to remember—to hold onto a person, a place, a season of life, or even something as simple as the way life felt at a certain moment.

Because someday, the little things we don’t think twice about today may be the things we wish we could remember most.

And that’s something I’ll never take for granted. 🤍

Never forget. 🇺🇸

I’ve always been a bit of a homebody. 🤎

Give me my coffee, a quiet morning, something good cooking in the kitchen, the dogs wandering around, and nowhere I need to be… and I’m pretty happy.

I love making our home feel like us—collecting little things we love, rearranging things just because, and surrounding ourselves with pieces that hold a memory or tell a story.

There’s something about home that just feels like a deep exhale.

Maybe it’s because life can feel so loud sometimes, but home is where I can slow down, be myself, and just… be.

So yes, I’ll happily choose home more often than not. 😂☕️

Fellow homebodies, I see you.

Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

A little reminder today to slow down, enjoy the people you love, and soak up the last little bit of summer. ☀️

Whether today looks like a backyard BBQ, a day on the lake, time with family, or simply enjoying a quiet Monday at home—I hope you get to enjoy it. 🤍

Here’s to the work we’re proud of, the people who make it worthwhile, and a little extra time to breathe.

Looking back to last summer around Breckenridge and Frisco, Colorado 🤎

There’s something about watching the sun come up over the mountains that makes everything feel a little quieter. You’re reminded how small you are, how big the world is, and how easy it is to get caught up in everything happening right in front of you.

A little over a year ago, I still love these photographs.

Maybe that’s one of my favorite things about photography—sometimes you don’t realize how much a moment meant to you until you get to look back at it.

There are a lot of places I love, but Northern Michigan has always felt a little different to me.

Maybe it’s because life just seems to slow down when I’m up there.

The mornings are quieter. Coffee takes a little longer. You spend more time outside. There’s usually a fire, a trail, a lake or river nearby—and somehow, doing absolutely nothing feels like doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing.

I think that’s what keeps pulling me back.

It reminds me that I don’t always need to be productive or have somewhere to be. Sometimes I just need a cup of coffee, a stump to sit on, and a little time to take it all in. ☕️🌲

So for Episode 2 of Coffee with Kelsey, I’m taking you camping with me and talking about one of the places that makes me feel most like myself.

I truly do not care about my hair when we’re camping.

But apparently I draw the line at a crooked part. 😂

One little adjustment and suddenly I’m giving Cindy Lou Who.

Moms, please tell me I’m not the only one. 💀

My thoughts and prayers are with Dolly Parton’s family and everyone who loved her. 🤍

What an incredible legacy she leaves behind—not only through her music, but through her kindness, generosity, and the countless lives she touched.

The world truly won’t be the same without her.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🌊🤍

A little coffee, a little storytelling, and a little more of the person behind the camera. ☕️

Welcome to the very first episode of Coffee with Kelsey.

I’ve always known photography would be part of my life, but I never imagined I’d one day own a photography business. In this series, I’ll be sharing the stories, little moments, creativity, and things that inspire me along the way.

So grab your coffee and come hang out with me. 🤎

This is just the beginning.

08/19/2026

If you know me, you know coffee is part of the routine. ☕️

So I thought… why not invite you in?

Something new is brewing. 🤎

New Series — coming soon.
