Alaska Series: Kenai Fjords Glaciers 🧊

I tried my best to capture this glacier in its full glory, but seeing this gigantic glacier in-person was so striking and oh so freezing! ❄️

Despite the cold and sitting outside on the windy deck of our boat, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from it. I would have stayed out in the cold just admiring the glacier if the cold weather didn’t fight against me. The textures and colors on this glacier were gorgeous, so I just knew I had to capture it! If seeing a glacier wasn’t on your bucket list, you have got to write it down! It was just wow. Stunning. It was one of my favorite things I saw while over in Alaska!

Alaska Series: The Sled Dogs of Alaska 🐕 🛷

Oh my goodness, these guys were just the sweetest and most playful pups I have ever met! They wanted nothing more than to run, play, and cuddle. You can tell these guys are well-loved and see their job as nothing more than getting to play. They also loved hopping in the water to cool off after their run. I am so glad we got to meet and pet these guys! We were even able to see them in action and ride on the trails with them. 🥰

Adventure begins when the road ends 🗺️

Here we are on the Denali Wilderness Tour that had us get up at 4 a.m. in the morning to hop on the tour bus for 6 hours 🥲

Despite how exhausted we were, all was good and well in the end as we got to see five grizzly bears and a ton of moose! The view and colors were also stunning at the very top of the tour! We also visited a beautiful river in Talkeetna and explored the quaint town.

I don’t know who’s cooler: Jared or the glacier? ❄️🧊

And I don’t just mean in style! We were both freezing out on this boat tour. Brrrrrr…

This boat tour took us to the Kenai Fjords and one of the biggest glaciers, Aialik. This was sooo stunning to see in-person! We also got to see tons of sea life like sea otters, killer whales, fin whales, sea lions, seals, and puffins! Despite the nausea from traveling on the ocean, this boat tour was by far my favorite! It also made for some cool senior pictures!

Adventure is calling for this senior! 🏔️

This senior session with Jared sent us straight to Alaska! In just these few photos shown here, we were at both the bottom and top of the mountains. That is wild! We also found a pretty neat spot in a museum we stopped at and also got to pose with one of the many planes you can find in Alaska. This is just a first look into some of the coolest scenery i’ve seen and there are lots more photos to come!
