I've been fortunate to have spent some time on the AT. Just a day here, a couple days there but I have laid foot in NC, VA, WV, MD, PA, NJ and MA. This was taken at Delaware Water Gap with Emily Lee and Deron Pulley. Oddly I love the fact that it crosses so many points of civilization.

I love the graininess of this photo, not to play too much on a pun or two. When Michelle and I were at the Sand Dunes a couple weeks ago it was windy, duh. That's how they got there in the first place, duh. But it was damn windy, exfoliate our hands and face windy. The top half of this photo is filled with sand blowing sideways and it looks just like the graininess of a lowlight photo taken with a super high iso. Not so though, just the blowing sand. Ok, I'll stop with the dork post now.

Michelle and I spent a couple nights at a cool little cabin on a working farm in the San Luis Valley and we were visited by a couple barn cats and farm dogs in the mornings. This fella/lady (?) had to hop up on a swing frame to get away from a young cattle dog that thought it great fun to herd. Lucky for me it was right at eye level.

Due to a number of factors I have been MIA from my facebook photo account but the times they are a changing and I'd like to get back to work. We'll start simple. The last vacation Michelle and I took was to San Francisco back in November of 2019 and we had the serendipitous luck to be there at the same time as one of her former students Payton.
