Pretty cool to see the magazine I published for a couple of years included in a book about the history of herpetoculture (caring for reptiles and amphibians). H**p Nation Magazine, all in print except for the very last issue which was digital and I hated digital publications at the time. Not something I talk about publicly very much, never really, but should. A lot of great people contributed to this mag, it was beautiful. It was a hustle to be in print, and a lot of work but I never sacrificed quality. It was about doing something I believed in and doing it at a high level, or not at all. I just wanted print, but again life was complicated at the time so I shut it down. We also had several podcasters on “H**p Nation Radio”, we did some cool videos, and had educated some blogs. I’ve been asked many times to bring it back, it’s a beloved magazine in the high end corners of the reptile world. They knew how good it was, not only in quality content but for representing the herpetological community in general. It’s something I could do again if I wanted to, but I think it’s best to leave it for the history books. And now it is just that…..in a history book! Makes me happy to see it acknowledged. Thank you to those involved. Maybe I’ll do print again, but some other topic. Hmm….🧐
