There is something that happens when a woman decides she is enough.

Not “enough for someone else.” Not “enough once she loses the weight, or fixes this, or changes that.”

Just… enough. Right now. As she is.

That moment is what I live for behind the lens. That split second when the armor comes off and what’s left is pure, unfiltered truth. Beauty that doesn’t ask permission.

She walked into this session carrying everything life had handed her. And she wore every bit of it like gold.

This is what we do at Scarlett Bo***ir Studio. We don’t just take photographs. We hold space for women to remember who they are.

The light doesn’t lie. And neither does she.

I submitted 4 images to the ICON Awards this year—bo***ir, underwater, editorial, and a silhouette on horseback scores varied from 74-80.

This is the first time ever earning a Silver at ICON. So yes, that 80 felt good. The rest? They lit a fire.

Choosing which images to enter was harder than I expected. Sitting through the wait was even tougher. When the scores dropped, I felt everything all at once—relief, joy, frustration, pride.

Competitions are humbling. They push you. They test how well you know your work. They remind you that even when it’s not perfect, it still matters.

I’m sharing them here not just for the award—but for the journey. The late nights editing, the vision, the risk of putting it out there. Here they are.
