Happy Pride month! 🌈 (🚫No ai)

I saw this T-shirt and just had to do it as a self-portrait!!! Also I hand painted those lenses in Photoshop 😂 cus the rainbow glasses weren't bright enough, they were more like sunglasses 😎

Throwback Thursday cus I'm currently editing a project that isn't quite ready yet! Had to reshoot some elements, but I think it's gonna be a hoot! Planning on a couple new drops next week, hopefully I'll have them ready after the weekend. Cus this weekend is for pool parties and pride parades! 🌈 💦 ⛱️

Every self-portrait I try to learn something new. And boy, did I learn a lot from this experience. This type of macro photography was trending a few years ago, and I decided to try it. I learned everything for my first attempt at Iris photography, from the specific lighting to limit catch lights, to the setup for avoiding reflections, and all the cool effects in editing these by hand, I learned for the first time. I think I could do it better next time, but I'm happy with how these came out.

"TOXIC" (inspired by the Britney Spears music video)

I shot this self-portrait for my 40th birthday/New Year's of last year! I can't believe it's already been over a year since doing this concept that's been on my dream recreation list for decades (probably since seeing the music video in 2004).

Funny story, it was late December when I shot this in the garage, but I was supposed to shoot it during the daytime when it was warm, but I had a bad migraine, so I had to take pain killers and sleep it off, and ended up shooting this at 3:30am and it was probably 40° out in the garage. I was so miserable and I was shaking. I wanted to have a fan blowing my hair but it was way too cold, so Andy got my hair dryer and turned it on high heat and kept me warm throughout the photoshoot.

Also all those jewels and stickers stuck to my body? My skin is allergic to the adhesive 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

I really love this first photo. All these different people marching together, her chin up, confident and proud. This is one of the reasons I don't delete photos in-camera. I import all of them, even if I think it's a blooper. You never know what hidden gems and happy accidents you are gonna find.
I really do love being a fly on the wall and taking photos at events. I'm a very shy/introverted person, so I like getting lost in the crowd, and documenting little pieces of the human experience.

I took so many photos at this event I'm gonna trickle them in between my zany concepts.
