The little details that hold so much anticipation. 🤍

A pair of shoes waiting for their moment, flowers spilling into the frame, and that quiet feeling that something beautiful is about to begin.

The moments before the moments are some of my favorites to photograph.

You don’t have to know how to pose. You just have to let go.

One of the biggest things I tell my couples before an engagement session is this:

Forget about the camera.

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands. You don’t need to remember how to pose. And you definitely don’t need to spend the whole session trying to look perfect.
Instead, pretend I’m not there.

Channel your inner model. 😉
Focus on each other.
Laugh. Wander. Flirt. Be silly. Hold each other a little tighter.

Think of it less like a photoshoot and more like a really fun date day… with your friendly neighborhood stalker following along. 😜

The more you embrace the process and give yourselves permission to let go, the more your images start to feel like you.

Because the goal isn’t perfection.

It’s capturing the little things that make your relationship yours. The way you look at each other, the way you laugh together, the way you naturally reach for one another.

That’s where the magic lives.

And that’s when the most beautiful images happen

The moments before the moment. 🤍

Before the doors open.
Before she walks down the aisle.
Before the day becomes a blur of celebration.

There’s this beautiful little pocket of time where everything slows down. Her closest people gathered around her, helping with the final details, laughing, adjusting, taking it all in.

These are the moments I want to remember, too.

Not just how the dress looked, but how it felt to be in it.

Not just the finished portrait, but the hands that helped her get there.

Not just the big moments, but everything unfolding quietly around them.

Because a wedding day is made up of so much more than the moments you planned for.

And those in-between moments?
They’re often my favorites. 🤍

Long before my couples arrive, I’m already looking.

Whenever I photograph somewhere new, I love arriving early and taking time to really walk the space before the day begins.

I’m looking for the way the light is moving through the property. The way a building frames the landscape. Interesting textures. Layers. Reflections. Little pockets of light and shadow. Things I can shoot through to create depth and dimension. Unexpected angles and points of view.

I’m also thinking about how all of those things can become part of the story.

Because a beautiful photograph isn’t always about finding the most obvious view. Sometimes it’s about slowing down long enough to notice what everyone else might walk right past.

Scouting is one of my favorite parts of the process. It gives me the chance to arrive on a wedding day already seeing possibilities, and then, when the real moments unfold, I can be fully present for them.

The photograph is the final piece. The looking comes first.

I don’t think bridal portraits should feel like a performance.

There can be movement.
There can be laughter.
There can be a little imperfection.

Your veil doesn’t have to be perfectly positioned.

Your hands don’t have to know where to go.

You don’t have to hold a smile for the camera.

Somewhere in that looseness is usually where you show up.

And that’s the portrait I’m after.

Are you drawn to photographs that feel polished, or photographs that feel like you?

Before anyone takes their seat… the room has already said something.

The flicker of candlelight. The softness of linen. Glass catching the last of the evening light. Every design choice contributes to something guests won’t always be able to describe, but they’ll absolutely remember.

The most unforgettable weddings aren’t just beautiful.

They feel beautiful.

✨ What detail creates the biggest impact for you?

The candlelight, the florals, the tablescape, the music, or something else entirely? I’d love to hear your answer.

One family. Three weddings. Two continents. 🤍

This photo means more to me than most people would ever know.

Years ago, I photographed one sister’s wedding.

A few years later, I had the honor of documenting her brother’s wedding.

And this year, I’ll be boarding a plane to Italy to photograph the other sister’s wedding.

Three weddings. One incredible family. Countless memories.

When couples ask what they’re really investing in when they choose their photographer, this is my answer.

Of course, beautiful photographs matter. They’ll become heirlooms that are passed down for generations. But what I hope to create goes far beyond the images themselves.

I want every couple to feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire experience. I want to know the people who matter most to them, celebrate alongside their families, and create a space where they can be fully present on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

The greatest privilege of this career isn’t traveling to beautiful places or photographing incredible celebrations.

It’s earning the kind of trust that brings families back for every new chapter.

To the Scheibe family, thank you for allowing me to preserve so many of your most meaningful memories. It has been one of the greatest honors of my career, and I cannot wait to celebrate with you all again in Italy.

This is the kind of legacy I’m most proud of. Not the photographs themselves, but the trust that brings families back for every new chapter. 🤍

Okay... can we all agree the reception is where everyone’s personality comes out? 🥂✨

The ties come off.
The dance floor fills up.
Someone grabs an espresso martini.

And suddenly it’s the best party you’ve ever been to.

Maggie + Teddy’s reception was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and unforgettable fun, candlelight, incredible food, heartfelt toasts, a live band that kept the dance floor packed all night, and a room full of people celebrating a love worth showing up for.

Because at the end of the day, the most beautiful weddings aren’t just beautiful...

They’re the ones where nobody wants the night to end.

💃 Tell us:

What’s your favorite reception moment?

• First dance
• Speeches
• Cake
• Dance floor
• Late-night snacks

What’s your non-negotiable reception must-have?” (Live band, DJ, espresso martinis, late-night snacks, ch*****ne tower, etc.)

Of all the welcome parties in all the hotels in all the world… this one had our heart.

Casablanca-inspired cocktails, old Hollywood glamour, and a cool California evening at Hotel Bel-Air.

We couldn’t have scripted a better start to Maggie + Teddy’s celebration.
