Vigil tonight (8/13) at 7pm at Home Depot (Back of Parking lot )

We will be gathering to commemorate the 12 people that were taken on Tuesday morning- please bring candles, flowers and messages of support..

Tuesday 8/12 morning at 930 am at HD century — about 10 cars with 6 agentes in each car 4 in back 2 in front- they picked up 12 people we know so far — to quote a joranalero - “why don’t they leave us alone we are just looking for work”

Today - we got 22 care packages out to people along with 4 Backpacks 🎒 with Hygiene products… we also added whistles to look 👀 out for ICE 🧊— people told us stories of ICE coming around asking for documents at Home Depot’s — DM if you want to join us tomorrow Thursday 7/31 at 830pm west Century in Inglewood

LOS CHILEROS, ONE OF THE OLDEST PROFESSIONS IN MEXICO.

"Chile" takes its name from Nahuatl "Chili". This fruit began cultivating in Mesoamerica approximately 6,500 years ago, although there is a theory that it was previously cultivated in the Andean region of Peru and in the Amazonian part of Brazil.

In the Anahuac Valley they were mainly grown in the "Chinampas". The chillies started to be dried (today this practice is followed) because they discovered that it was a way to preserve them by avoiding rotting. When drying them they realized that their taste changed concentrating their caeacteristics as sweet, chocolatey and earthy taste so dry, they formed part of a large number of dishes.

Chilies are mostly sun dried on top of a cracker and never one on top of the other, they have to be completely separated. Some are smoked like Moritas
Fresh Chili's called "Jalapeños" when dried are "Chipotles" "Poblanos" Chili's will be "Anchos" the "Chilacas" "Walkways" the "Anaheim" will be "Colorados" and the "Mirasol" will be "Guajillos". The "Serranos" chillies will be "Tree Chiles" and Lastly the "Bola" chilli will be the "Cascabel".

The botanical name of Chile is "Capsicum Baccatum" and the chemical element that gives the itch or burning in the mouth is "Capsaicina".
Cristobal Columbus in one of his first trips took to Europe the seeds of chili from where he passed to Europe and Asia
In our Michoacana gastronomy it is an impressive element and one of the most delicious.
