Love comes in most unexpected ways and time. Last night was something so beautiful and intimate screening of the movie SELENA. Appreciate for including me in the vision for last nights special screening where she reached out to me to share her vision about this special night and do some promotional visuals for her. The essence of these visuals were to bring a sense of community, celebration of womanhood, last but certainly, love and respect. Here are some of the highlights from this campaign. As they say, anything for Salenas.

Huge thanks to for screening the event, for coming together for the cause!

Love comes in most unexpected ways and time. Emotions and energies are all over the place these days. Wanted to create a safe space for people to come congregate and just be themselves. Old friends and new friends came to join each other’s company and spread the beautiful energy. Love and laughter is the most crucial element we need during these hard times. Everyone who came had beautiful energy and had lovely conversation. Following are the photos from that day. As always, all love! ❤️❤️

A huge thank you to the following people:
For generously providing the studio space.
For generously donating the coffee and fuel for that day.
For developing and scanning these images.

Biggggg thank you to the friends who pulled uppp!

Iftar, 2026
Mixed Media

Breaking the fast (Iftar) in Ramadan occurs daily at sunset, typically marked by eating dates and drinking water following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, often followed by Maghrib prayer and a balanced meal. It is a time of spiritual reflection, gratitude, and communal gathering to break the daily fast.
Key Aspects of Breaking the Fast When to Break:
The fast is broken exactly at sunset, corresponding with the Maghrib prayer call.
Iftar Meals: Common, nutritious choices to begin Iftar include soups (like lentil or harira), fruits, and sweetened yogurt drinks to gently replenish energy.

Community is something that we fall back on when there is this need of support from our surroundings. As times are getting tougher and situations going in the negative trajectory, we need to find some way to battle it with some positive energy. These positive energy is what we call community. Hosting this film portrait session as a reason to bring some positive energy back into our community and raising money for the affected children and families negatively impacted in Iran, Palestine, Afghanistan while creating this safe space. Sometimes all we need is a space of comfort and love, this is your space, feel free to cry, laugh, and express yourself as you please. We all need it now more than ever.

Let’s help each other through these tough times and provide a safe space to share how you feel. Smiles and hugs welcome to everyone who pulls up!

A friend of mine asked me what was the take away from Ramadan and self reflection.

-Patience with myself and the people that I spend my days with.
-Conserving energy for the right people and reason
-Be intentional with your actions
-Be more kind to people around me
-Slow down and savor the moments

All these five were some key points to this month of self reflection. As humans, we are always trying to please someone and not really looking into ourselves.

Finally got comfortable to see myself infront of the camera with me taking the photos. Fully exposing myself to be vulnerable these days.
First few photos depict the raw and gentle side of us that no one is comfortable enough to share. As they say, never put the guards down. The mask then comes on when we catch ourselves be vulnerable and let our guards down. These are normal traits as humans is to mask down these insecurities and make people feel like there are no demons in our lives. Everyone is going through something, so let’s all be kind to one another. Love your friends and family. Tell me if you resonate with these. As always, all love. ❤️❤️

Sunday kind of love hits different. A lazy day with new and old friends. Going to place where food is involved has been interesting these days. Planned on going to a pop up at a couple weeks ago but I felt some kind of way since I won’t be able to eat anything during the event. I said to the homie, “what am I going to do there, I can’t even eat?” He answered, “just hang out and take photos!”

At that point I was thinking to myself that it was one of the worst ideas ever. Morning came, as soon as I woke up, I realized that my friend actually helped me navigate this weird and awkward situation by suggesting to ease my nerves which was by just being present and documenting good energy.

As soon as I parked, I got out of my car, “I know that guy!” yelled out by the homie Pierre. The instant surge of energy was what I needed to get to work mode! From then on, I asked few people if I could take portraits of them that afternoon. Here are some glimpses of my Sunday afternoon.

Life is always rough, as people we don’t realize that we just need to take a step back and be around good energy, intentionally. As always, all love! ❤️❤️

Marlon, from Oaxaca the city of mezcal and chapulines. He moved to Los Angeles in his early twenties and immediately fell in love with the city. He had always dreamed of having a space where he could share the things he’s deeply passionate and loved.
In 2014, he met Pilar, and two years later they started Cafe Santo and that dream became a reality. Today, in a small space on the east side of LA, in Montebello Marlon and Pilar continue building a space where coffee, music, and meaningful experiences can bring friends and community together.

Come visit Marlon and at .santo and experience love and community in one space.

Ramadan is a time to slow down and reflect the blessings that we have around us. For me, that includes, self love, self care, cleansing the body and mind, and also appreciating the beautiful people around me. From family to friends, everyone around me is extremely special. Following are some legendary photographers and family members that I’ve been working with and been around who took photos of me. I appreciate you all for all your support and love! Valeria, residing in Orange County, you’ll see her bopping around LA often- she’s a mom, Latina content creator, film photographer, and community gatherer. Her dream is to continue using her love and passion for photography, music, and community work through celebratory events and whatever big opportunities that might bring. She wants to be remembered for encouraging women to be and embrace who they are authentically through a cultural lens. Being a woman in the art and event industry has been quite the experience for her considering it male dominated so she is determined to inspire women to do big things! Also, she wishes to inspire others to give back and be active in their own communities. We all have a voice no matter how big/small and we never know who we’re inspiring

Willie, born and raised in Santa Fe Springs, CA, bbby! Reformed artist turned Knotts influencer. A true anomaly!

Following are his words:
Gonna sound funny but I really dont have hopes or dreams, just kinda live day to day and see where life takes me. If you do what you like long enough, you’ll find your peoples and places eventually. Don’t be a regular anywhere, be a regular everywhere.

Carolina Magaña, born and raised in Downey and her Pa, Jose from Yucatan, had been talking about going to a protest together. Carolina’s pa, Jose had never been to one before and was both nervous and excited, so beforehand they stopped at their favorite Mexican-owned coffee shop, .santo to support and fuel themselves for the day. Both of Carolina’s parents immigrated from Mexico in the ’80s and are the hardest-working people she know, but because of that, they rarely have the time to explore Los Angeles or fully feel part of its community. Seeing him experience that sense of belonging was really special being part of something bigger together, and standing up for people who carried the same hopes and ambitions her parents had when they came to LA in search of a better life.
