There’s something grounding about being a tourist in your own city. Walking Culver City at night, I noticed details I usually pass by—the sharp lines of modern buildings, the preserved Art Deco façades, the glow of streetlights on brick and glass. It’s a place where old studios, new architecture, and neighborhood life coexist effortlessly. Familiar, yet constantly changing. Slowing down enough to really look reminded me that you don’t need distance to find discovery—sometimes it’s right where you already are.
